Great column, Carl. Boy, the bidding process is turned upside down and sideways to make it go union, isn't it.

As in any corrupt state agency managed by appointees, the only unions given shabby treatment are those reppin their own workers.

Unions in this country fought and won many of the benefits that all workers enjoy. 40 hr workweeks, living wages, overtime, sick pay, vacations etc.... If all workers in this country were organized they would all have bidding rights. Yes there is a cost. Nothing is free....ever...anywhere!

Now federal laws and regulations protect workers and unions are outdated and no longer needed. They are an arm of the socialist party and need to be disbanded. All states should be right to work, if you dont do your job, see ya later.

So my friend has a local excavating company and received a phone call today from a local union. He was told that if he did not join the union that they would picket his jobs and that they also know where he lived and where his company was, they said that he better watch his equipment.

These unions are no better than the knee breaking union guys in the 30s and 40s. This is what the democrat party is all about, thugs like the new black panthers. I wish they would come to my property, I can gurantee they would not leave the same way they came.
