As a non-sports fan, I have read Ken Schotts" column for years from a standpoint of broadcast info. I have made comments in the past in which Mr. Schotts has quoted me once. I was a liitle surprised at how long this dispute between T/W and the NFL network has gone on; nearly 9 years. I have in the past looked at it as a no compromise situation. It was either going to be on basic or sports tier. But the thought occurred to me that there is something somewhat inbetween that could be done. First of all, place the NFL network on a sports tier full-time. Now that the NFL network is going to provide coverage of 13 games on thurday nights, place the game along with up to 1 hour of pre-game and post-game programming on a basic cable channel like TWTV-3. This would get the game available to everyone and still make the entire network available to those hard core fans. Wonder what Mr. Schotts' thought are on this idea?
