Christian values with words but not deeds As part of its strategy, the Republican Party has promoted itself as “the party of family values” in an attempt to seek a moral advantage within the minds of the public. In this context, the Republican leadership generally identifies itself with “Christian values.” Although there are a number of Christian denominations, I would assume that all adherents would follow the life examples of Jesus and his teachings. Smoking should be banned in all public places, not just parks. This is especially true of the entrances to public places. Smokers have no idea regarding how much their dirty habit inflicts itself on others.

After reading Mr. Steiner's letter, it makes me laugh at how ignorant the American Left is especially the so called Christian Left and the only time they need to quote either the bible or God, in Jesus Christ is when its for their own benefit to try and prove a worthless point. Outside of that fact they want nothing to do with Jesus or his most holy church. Even when they quote the bible they still can't get it right. Since Mr. Steiner likes to quote the bible for his Leftist Liberal agenda I will start with what Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:1-15, about how to receive eternal life by being reborn of the spirit from above. One thing that Christ is critical of in the biblical passage from St. John, is the fact that people who claim to be his followers say they do good things in Christ's name, but they are hypocrites because their hearts are miles away from him. This of course applies to Leftist's like you, Mr. Steiner and the hypocrisy your side portrays. If, Leftist's such as yourself, Mr. Steiner, are going to quote the bible you need to get your facts straight before you insert your hypocritical foot in your mouth which is something you Leftist's do so well. In your criticism of Republicans, you need to learn a few things about quoting the bible. First, you need to get your own act together, Mr. Steiner. Concerning your criticism about Mr. Romney investing his money in off shore accounts, the last time I checked this was still legal. Just ask Rep. Debbie "Blabber Mouth" Wassermann-Schultz (D-FL) about this issue. The issue at hand can be explained from reviewing Matthew 25:14-30, in The Parable of the Talents, which in case Mr. Steiner didn't know is a heavy common container used in New Testament times, was 58.9 kilograms (130 lb) which was a vase that was used as a measuring instrument in the time of Antiquity that was used to store coins inside of it. In this biblical account, many people misconstrue the meaning of this account that Jesus was saying that the more money you make the more you need to pay in taxes. This is where Leftist's like you Mr. Steiner are idiots because you don't take the time to find out the real meaning about this story.

Continuing on: In the parable, Jesus is describing what the kingdom of heaven is like and how to achieve it where he tells of a wealthy man who is leaving to travel on a journey and he leaves to his three servants a sum of money in coins placed in a series of talent's for them to tend to while he is away. To one he gave five talents, to another two talents, and to another one talent, to each according to his own ability in handling and immediately he went on his way. Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them making another five talents that totaled ten talents. Likewise he who had received two talents gained two more also, but he who had received one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his employers money in the earth. After a long time, upon the employer's return those servants came and settled their accounts of assignments with the employer. So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents to his employer saying, sir, you delivered to me five talents and I have gained five more talents besides them. The employer said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things and give you more rewards. The second employee who had received two talents came and said to the employer, you delivered to me two talents, I have gained two more talents besides them. The employer said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. The employer reaped much praise on both employees. Then he who had received the one talent came and said, sir, 'I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown gathering where you have not scattered seed. I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours. But his employer answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed.' 'So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers and at my return I would have received back my own with interest.' 'Therefore take the talent from him and give it to him who has ten talents. The meaning of this story is that for everyone who has much more ability and uses it wisely much more will be given and he will have so in abundance, but from him who does not have in ability and even wastes these abilities even what he has will be taken away. The unprofitable servant shall be cast out to the dark for he is useless and shall not earn the glory of God.

Continuing on: Traditionally, the parable of the talents has been seen as an exhortation to Jesus' disciples to use their God-given gifts in the service of God, and to take risks for the sake of the Kingdom of God. These gifts have been seen to include personal abilities ("talents" in the everyday sense), as well as personal wealth. Failure to use one's gifts, the parable suggests, will result in judgement and condemnation from God. As far as your criticism of Paul Ryan's budget plans to say in a gruff term will be used to get rid of the dead weight being supported by the masses, references from St. Paul's Epistles can solve this understanding by the ignorant like you, Mr. Steiner. In defending your second assertion that Republican's want to starve the poor and feed the rich with tax cuts, again Mr. Steiner you show your ignorance about the word of God and how it applies to slothful and idle behavior by people who want to suck off the nipple of those who work in this country and make it go. These type of people who the Democrat Party really celebrate and not the real poor in this country who we as Christians do support by donations whether it be by monetary or in food. In St. Paul's Epistles to the Thessalonians he warns against this type of behavior and that Christ would not approve of the illegitimate behavior of these people which is favored by the Liberal wing of the Democratic Party.

Continuing on: In 2 Thessalonians 3, St Paul warns us about becoming freeloaders accepting and eating anyone's food free of charge and/or without offering to pay for this sustenance. St. Paul further commands that we are to work for our keep and not accept charity if we are able to pay for our keep. He also demonstrates that if we do not properly work for our food we should go hungry. For if anyone doesn't act like this in accordance with what Christ taught about earning your fair share you should be put to shame. St. Paul mentions that anyone who lives a lifestyle as a freeloader they are a burden and a disruptive nature to others and to their community.
You see Mr. Steiner, the people who your party supports who are on welfare and are able bodied are lazy and irresponsible individuals who your party place on a pedestal to who should be honored and revered because they are nothing more than a vote for the Democratic Party each and every November.
Next in your criticism of John Kyl, in Matthew 18:5-6, Jesus warns that if anyone harms a child and prevents him/her from being able to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and does not welcome this child you reject Christ as well. This applies to your party's support for abortion and euthanasia. Mr. Steiner which is another abomination in the eyes of God.

Continuing on: Lastly, Mr. Steiner in your criticism of Michelle Bachmann holding tightly to the value that marriage is a gift of God to his people to only be between a man and woman for the procreation of the world you are demonstrating how you Leftist's are hypocrites, in the case of your side spreading immorality and sin through the condoning of homosexual relationships where people of the same sex are allowed to marry one another and lay down together at night for the purpose of committing this abomination in the eyes of God where marriage is bastardized by the American Left and even encouraged as its their right is another slap in the face of our creator. You claim its a right for two of the same sex to join in a sexual union, I hate to disappoint you, Mr. Steiner this view is outdated by my side because it is nothing new with you Leftist's. St. Paul's letters to the Corinthians and to the Romans, he warns us about part taking in this illness and directs us to flee from it and especially the people who promote it. For if anyone speaks out about this immorality as St. Paul commands us to do who are the real followers of Christ, you folks label us as bigots, racists, sexists and homophobes. This is an easy act for Leftist's such as yourself, Mr. Steiner to do because the American Left stands for nothing that is positive and wholesome and even if one of our own does sin and stray from the Lord it was done with evil intentions in their heart and they also are not a true follower of Jesus. Additionally, you Leftist's feel the bible is nothing more than an outdated book that promotes hate and divisiveness and needs to be updated to keep up with your perverted agenda. The truth is that God makes us accountable to him not by just not giving us ten commandments, but he does so with love and our best interests in mind to protect us from harming ourselves, but you Leftist's don't agree with this assertion because you feel you are accountable to no one, even the creator. You folks through your own ignorance feel that you are accountable to yourselves and the responsibility for this arrogance is to just look at what you people have created in the US by this nation's faltering both spiritually and morally. The decay of our society lies at the feet of every Leftist in this country which includes you, Mr. Steiner and the views of condoning immorality and sin.

to Sallie Gilliland and SAM4611: Smoking should be banned where people GATHER and enter, where they must wait in lines, and similar situations, but not throughout entire parks, or all public space. That is overkill to what remains a legal activity.

Mr. Starman; Here's another biblical quotation from St. Paul;,"It is not wrong to call out sin to be reprimanded and corrected. This needs to be done especially when listed by ignorant and foolish hypocrites such as yourself that wrap yourself in the stupidity of this hypocrisy. In this instance it would help if knew what you were talking about. In the listing that you sited it would help if you knew what the real message was behind the parable Jesus was teaching about which is, 'sinners can't judge and condemn other sinners, unless they come to the cross of Christ and seek his forgiveness.' This is something you hypocrites fail to do. So you need to go back and reread the bible and go further than just stopping off at a section that you use to defend a dumb position where you folks only wind up sticking your foot in your mouth your doing here.
