Mechanicville train station eyed for grant funds

The city has applied for a $300,000 grant to fix up the abandoned Mechanicville train station that operated from the late 1800s through the 1960s. The grant is available through the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and would require a $150,000 match from the city.
