Four arrested after fight, firing of gun in Charlton
CHARLTON Four people were arrested on assault and other charges after a fight during which a shot was fired.
No one was injured because of the firearm, but all four people suffered some kind of injury in the Friday night fight in a house at 1183 Peaceable St., according to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office got a call around 11 p.m. that a man with a gun was shooting at another man and several other people were involved.
Deputies arrested Erich Senger Ziegler, 29, of that address on felony reckless endangerment, misdemeanor third-degree assault and misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Ziegler was accused of firing the rifle at David John Brown, 23, of 523 Hattie St., Schenectady. Brown was charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault for his alleged part in the fight.
Samantha Elizabeth Vandenburg, 29, of 2038 Cedarlawn Ave., Rotterdam, was charged with third-degree assault and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors. And Ilda Ceci, 25, of 1858 Elizabeth St., Schenectady, was charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault.
Deputies said Ceci and Brown went to Ziegler's home to check on Ceci's child, and a confrontation took place during the visit.
Ziegler and Vandenburg also were accused of having crack cocaine.
