Softball: McNulty leads Tartans

Erica McNulty hit a home run and threw a two-hitter as Scotia-Glenville blanked Glens Falls, 4-0, in a Foothills Council game.

Julianna Ferrari added an RBI double for the Lady Tartans, 3-1 in the Foothills and 7-2 overall.

Hannah Smith had three hits and drove in a run, helping Galway edge Saratoga Central Catholic, 10-9, in the WAC.

Felicia Snyder had two hits, and Jess Freebern hit a double as the Lady Eagles picked up their first win of the season.

Natalie Pikus doubled and drove in a run for the Lady Saints.

Jess Adams hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning, and singled in the winner in the ninth to cap a three-hit game, leading Columbia past Troy, 7-6, in a non-league game.

Haley VanVorst threw seven innings, and Caitlin Cooper came on in the seventh to complete a four-hitter for the 8-2 Lady Blue Devils.

Ange Stephano drove in three runs as unbeaten Loudonville Christian School beat Berlin, 4-1, in the Central Hudson Valley League.

Stephano homered, and she and Stephanie Zaloom both had two hits for the 7-0, 8-0 Eagles. Tegan Shumway threw a four-hitter, and Kaitlyn Morse drove in the run for the 4-3 Mountaineers.
