The Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown has just opened “A Window Into Edward Hopper,” paintings, watercolors, etchings and sketches by the prominent American realist. The exhibit, which runs through Sept. 11, coincides with “Later the Same Evening,” an opera based on Hopper’s paintings that’s on the summer schedule at Glimmerglass.

Albany Center Gallery is the host for the 33rd annual Photography Regional, which opens Friday and runs through July 16. Tim Kane is the curator, and the jurors are Ian Berry, Timothy Cahill, Melissa Stafford and Deborah Zlotsky.

French Impressionist Camille Pissarro is the subject of the big summer exhibit at the Clark Art Institute, with both iconic and lesser-known paintings traveling to the Berkshires from scores of museums and private collections. “Pissarro’s People” opens June 12 and runs through Oct. 2.

The Hyde Collection’s summer attraction is “New York, New York! The 20th Century,” 60 artworks — paintings, sculpture and photographs — from Florida’s Norton Museum of Art. Berenice Abbott, George Bellows, Reginald Marsh and Jim MacMillan, who photographed the ruins of the World Trade Center, are among the artists. The show opens June 12 and runs through Sept. 18.

The 75th annual Mohawk Hudson Regional Exhibition returns to the Albany Institute of History & Art. The show opens July 9 and runs through Sept. 4. This year's juror is painter Holly Hughes, who is also a professor at Rhode Island School of Design.
