Steel from World Trade Center to become 9/11 memorial in Saratoga Springs

Five pieces of World Trade Center steel twisted and scarred by the destruction of the twin towers on Sept. 11, 2001, have been transported to Saratoga County, where they will be shaped into a memorial to the terrorist attack and loss of life. As a former Utica, NY resident and high school classmate of Don Kauth of Saratoga Springs, I think that this Memorial would be a lasting tribute to those innocents lost to this terrorist menace. I did not know Don well in high school, but I felt his family's pain when I attended his Memorial Service. We should never forget the sacrifices made by the families of those lost on that fateful day. May God guide your hand.
