Fulton County sheriff cautions against eliminating road patrol

Eliminating the road patrol division of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department to help balance the 2012 county budget would be a foolish and dangerous measure, Sheriff Thomas J. Lorey said Tuesday. Don't think the tax cap is going to help lower taxes. The county board will override it with 60% of the weighted vote. This is just a scare tactic to encourage override.
