Dealer seeks to rescue Gloversville church

The antiques dealer whose company removed the stained-glass windows from the Bleecker Square Church in February said he is committed to raising money to save the circa-1868 building from demolition. Robert Meringolo said he will be visiting Gloversville in the near future to explore fundraising options. This antiques dealer is just trying to cover his tracks. He should return the windows and clocks or have reproductions made at his expense. He knew what he was doing when he removed them. I wonder just how much he got for them and then the church in turn. This is so sad..
