Man convicted on weapons charges after feds raid house

George S. Crandall III, a 65-year-old Northville-area resident whose home was raided by federal authorities in March 2009, was convicted Wednesday in federal court on counts of illegal possession of a .22-magnum rifle and assorted ammunition in several calibers. The conviction followed a two-day trial before U.S. District Court Judge Frederick J. Scullin in Syracuse.
