I was impressed by the President's visit, especially when he got off the plane and walked over to the crowd to shake hands. It could have been scripted, but who cares... it was still a nice thing to do. Good, bad, or indifferent, he IS our President and we should respect the office, if not the man. He has 2 more years ahead of him to prove he can be a worthwhile President... time will tell.

AS a former GE employee, I share your enthusiasm. Obama did the right thing by coming to Schdy and promoting one of the biggest manufacturing plants in the US, located right in the heart of Schdy. The area should be proud of such an enormous industry despite the fact that thousands of laborers were eventually let go because of foreign competition. I firmly believe this country is on the right track in turning our economy around. With great leaders like Jeff Immeldt appointed to the new Economic Advisory board, I have high hopes for our nation.
