People in favor of and opposed to U.S. Rep. Chris Gibson’s vote to raise the nation’s debt limit exchanged heated words Tuesday afternoon during demonstrations outside the congressman’s district office. Chances are better than not that the protestors from MoveOn were bused in and don’t even live in Saratoga County or any of the counties in which Gibson represents. These folks are fanatical liberal radicals that think the government should tax the rich and give to those who don’t want to work for a living.

No doubt there are needy people out there and help is available. Let us remember that 47% of the working population in this country pays no federal income taxes. You want fair? Change the tax codes so that everyone pays something. It is those with no stake in the economy that do most of the complaining.

I agree with Gibson that we are moving in the right direction but at whose expense. Every time I here about balancing the budget I here about cuts to the seniors. Prisoners have more benefits then us! We earned our way please leave us alone its hard enough to make ends meet on a fixed income.
