About 150 farmers turned out Tuesday to object to plans to close the county Farm Service Agency office in Ballston Spa and move its functions to Washington County.
A tree fell on a moving vehicle Wednesday night on Route 9P in Malta, killing a Saratoga Springs resident, state police said.
Killed was Carol Salvatore, 73, of Saratoga Springs. The driver, identified as C.A. Dalessandro, 57, also of Saratoga Springs, was airlifted to Albany Medical Center and was listed in serious condition late Wednesday, state police said.
