As a professional athlete it’s really important you be a good role model because everyone looks up to you to do the right thing. You will also feel really good about yourself.

Sometimes it’s really hard to do the right thing, but it’s best not only for you, but for the people around you. Being a good role model also helps build good character in those who look up to you.

As a good role model, you have the opportunity to encourage other people to do the right thing. You can show them how hard work pays off, making good decisions affects your life in a positive way, and how important it is to stand up for what is right.

Tiger Woods is an example of a role model who really messed up. People all over the world liked him because of the person he was and what he achieved in his lifetime. Now because of what he did I don’t like to watch him. Then I listen to his apology. “I want to say to each of you, simple, and directly, I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible and selfish behavior.”

We need to get Tiger a chance to show the world how you can mess up, take responsibility for your actions and teach people that you can overcome your mistakes.

That’s why it’s really important to be a good role model and to take that role seriously. It’s also a great honor to be able to be a role model and to be given that opportunity. God expects you to do good with that talent, not bad.

Tiger Woods is showing us how to be a good role model by apologizing and wanting to make his life right.

I hope someday I can do good things in the world and be a good role model for other people.
