— University at Albany senior Stephanie Ferreira took home $10,000 as a contestant on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” today.

“Good Morning America Weekend” anchor Kate Snow, a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, served as Ferreira’s “Ask the Expert” lifeline. Ferreira asked Snow for help on a question about "circumaural" and "supra-aural" technology and what it applied to. With Snow's help, Ferreira correctly answered "headphones."

That brought Ferreira's winnings to the $10,000 level.

However, she stopped there. The next question, for $12,500, pertained to actor Brody Jenner of MTV's "The Hills." Ferreira was asked which sport Jenner's father, Bruce, excelled in. Ferreira did not know the answer and decided to stop and take the $10,000. The correct answer was track and field.

Meredith Vieira hosted the show, which airs weekdays on WNYT Channel 13.

Ferreira is originally from Massapequa Park and is studying linguistics and education. She would like to teach elementary school.
