All season long, the Union College men’s hockey team has been disciplined. But against Cornell in the ECAC Hockey tournament championship game on Saturday night, the Dutchmen found themselves in the penalty box too many times, and it cost them a chance at winning a championship.

Swine flu vaccine clinics set Saturday for priority groups in Montgomery County

— Montgomery County residents in priority groups will have an opportunity to get the H1N1 flu vaccine Saturday.

The county Public Health Department has received enough vaccine doses to hold two clinics, one at the St. Mary's Memorial Family Health Center and one at the Canajoharie Family Health Center on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

The vaccine will only be available for those in priority groups identified by the Centers for Disease Control:

-- pregnant women;

-- children and young people age 6 months to 24 years;

-- people who live with or care for infants under 6 months;

-- people age 25 to 64 years with medical conditions that would make them prone to influenza-related complications;

-- health care workers and emergency personnel who have direct contact with patients

Debbie Voght, community health educator for the Montgomery County Public Health Department, said those who are not in the priority groups should not expect to receive a vaccination Saturday. She said there will be more opportunities for those not in priority group to receive the vaccination as more become available.

Residents are not required to pre-register to receive a vaccination. H1N1 flu shots will be given out on a first-come first-served basis. Voght would not say how many doses the county has received, but said she hopes to receive more this week in time for the clinic.

Health care providers in Montgomery County were able to order doses of the H1N1 vaccination themselves. There is no way to tell how many providers already received a supply, Voght said.
