LOUDONVILLE Senior Heather Stec continued to have the hot hand for the Siena women’s basketball team Sunday, scoring 17 points to carry the Saints to an
81-59 victory over Niagara in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game at the Alumni Recreation Center.
Stec, who had a career-high 23 points on Friday, was 6-for-7 from the field as the Saints picked up their second straight win to improve to 3-2 in the league and 4-10 overall. In the last two games, Stec had hit 87.5 percent of her shots from the field (21-for-24).
The Purple Eagles (0-1, 1-15), who suffered their 12th straight loss, never recovered after the Saints went on a 21-2 run to take a 31-19 lead in the first half.
