Braves stay unbeaten in WAC

Paula Egleston scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Fonda-Fultonville beat Saratoga Central Catholic, 53-32, Friday night in the Western Athletic Conference.

Alyssa Nowak added 14 points as the Braves remained unbeaten (4-0) in league play, and moved to 7-1 overall.

Cate Mensler led the Saints with 16 points.

Emilie Liddle’s 15 points helped Canajoharie stop Fort Plain, 44-37, in the WAC.

Kelsey Audi added 10 points for the Cougars. Heather Voght and Mallory Baum combined for 21 points for the Hilltoppers.

Allison Paludi tossed in 11 points, and Alyson Saudners added 10, helping Duanesburg beat Middleburgh, 45-21, in the WAC. The Eagles are 3-0 in league play.

Andrew VanDyke’s 16 points and a tough defense sparked Berne-Knox-Westerlo in a 43-36 WAC win over Schenectady Christian School. Ashlyn Slater had 14 points for the Falcons, leaving three short of 1,000 career points.

Kaley Schelling scored 20 points as Galway edged Northville, 45-44, in another WAC game. Chelsea Paul scored 20 for the Falcons.

Mohonasen remained hot in the Suburban Council, as Leah McClain hit a free throw with 1.5 seconds to play to beat Averill Park, 49-48.

Michelle Aviza led the 4-2, 7-2 Mighty Warriors with 15 points. McClain finished with nine.

Katie Duma poured in 23 for Averill Park.

Staci McElroy tossed in 17 points, and Casey Harkins provided 10 more, as Saratoga Springs downed Ballston Spa, 41-36, in the Suburban.

Ailana Greco and Marissa Traver split 22 points for the Scotties.

Emily Weber’s nine points led nine players in the scoring column as Shenendehowa topped Niskayuna, 42-33.

Lisa Rufer scored 11 points to lead the Silver Warriors.

Rachel Burek and Gabi Regan combined for 20 points, as

Columbia edged Colonie, 46-42. The Raiders got 20 points from Aime Jefferson.

Shenekwa Stewart finished with 16 points, and Alexis Hauser and Kelsey Green teamed up for 23 more, as Albany downed Catholic Central, 57-49, in the Big 10.

Stewart was a presence underneath the basket, grabbing eight rebounds and blocking three shots.

Megan Foglia scored 15 points to lead the Crusaders.

Antonia Williams had 12 points as Schenectady beat Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons, 65-20. Liz

Chevalier led the Knights with seven points.

Maggie Maloney dropped in 20 points as Cohoes downed Albany Academy, 51-41, in the Colonial Council. Meg Keeler added 12 points as the Tigers improved to 5-3 in league play.

Amanda Cioffi scored 15 points for the Bears, with Jill Verde adding 14.

Britney Creed scored nine of her game-high 19 points in the first

period to help 7-1 Voorheesville top Schalmont, 56-30. Amanda Lawson ahd eight points for the Sabres.

Kierra Moore, Fallon Witte and Jackie Murphy combined for 28 points as Holy Names edged Watervliet, 39-35. Nae White’s 11 points led the Canonneers.

Chelsea Jordan’s 19 points got Cobleskill-Richmondville past Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, 59-40.

Abbey Hanehan was 9-for-11 from the foul line in a 19-point effort that helped Stillwater beat Tamarac,

60-51, in the Wasaren League. Maggie Hoogeveen added 13 points for the Warriors.

Caroline Murphy’s 15 points led unbeaten Lake George past Corinth, 43-40, in the Adrirondack League. Ariel Triano led the Tomahawks with 13 points.
