TROY Miles Perras canned five three-point baskets and finished with 18 points Friday night to lead Catholic Central to a 64-55 victory over Schenectady in a Big 10 boys’ basketball game.
Perras did most of his damage in the third quarter, hitting four threes and scoring 14 points as the Crusaders turned a 31-27 halftime lead into a 52-39 advantage.
Keaton Woods chipped in with 16 points for CCHS (2-3, 3-5), including going 7-for-8 from the foul line in the fourth quarter.
Mark Blair led the Patriots (3-2, 5-3) with 12 points, and Reece Jackson added 11.
Jordan Williams pumped in 19 points, and McKenzie Groff added 15 to lead Northville to a Western Athletic Conference win over St. Johnsville.
The Saints (2-5) had a 15-12 lead after the first quarter, but were outscored, 20-8, over the middle two periods as Northville improved to 2-1 in the conference and 3-4 overall.
Jaxon Smith led St. Johnsville with 17 points.
Tamarac ran its overall record to 7-0 with a 54-35 victory over Schuylerville in the Wasaren League.
Steve Hunt had a game-high 19 points for the Bengals, and Tyler Shaw (14) and Brent Matazinsky (13) also finished in double figures.
The loss dropped the Black Horses to 1-1 in the league and 3-4 overall.
Corinth held Fort Ann to 14 points in the second half as the Tomahawks improved to 5-0 in the Adirondack League with a 49-39 victory.
C.J. Saunders led Corinth (5-5 overall) with 21 points, and Eric Hernandez added 10.
Albany Academy bounced back from its first loss of the season to rout Guilderland, 67-46, in a non-league game.
Jamel Fields, who had a game-high 22 points, scored 18 in the first half to stake the Cadets (10-1) to a 40-22 lead. Chris Pelcher contributed 17 and Tyler Foster added 15.
Andre Brown and Kevin Kost each had 10 points for the Dutchmen (4-2).

Girls’ basketball
Megan Stover finished with 16 points and eight rebounds as Lake George defeated the host Spartans, 47-36, in the first round of the Queensbury Holiday Tournament.
Queensbury had a 26-25 lead going into the fourth quarter, but Stover scored 10 points in the final eight minutes to give Lake George the win.
The Warriors will face Hoosic Valley in today’s championship game, as the Indians rolled over South Glens Falls, 40-18, in the other first-round game. Taylor Sullivan led the Indians’ balanced attack with 10 points.
In a game played earlier this week, Emilie Liddle pumped in 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Canajoharie to a 62-42 victory over Wells in the consolation game of the Mayfield Tournament.

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake boys finished second in the distance medley relay at the Brown Relays.
The Spartans put up a 10:43.74, behind Scott Maughan (1,200, 3:10.9), Chris Fernandez (400, 52.7), Kent Harlow (800, 2:04.9) and Otis Ubriaco (1,600, 4:36.2).
The Spartans’ girls finished third in their DMR with a time of 12:54.29. Larene Cameron (1,200, 4:02.1), Callan Gray (400, 63.4), Kendra Adams (800, 2:23.0) and Carolyn Herkenham (1,600, 5:25.7) ran the individual legs.
