About 400 elementary- and middle-school students taking part in the Shenendehowa Inventors program will display their inventions at the former Cotton Market store at Clifton Park Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation last month canceled its annual contract with Green Thumb Environmental Beautification, a nonprofit organization. The move puts 150 seniors out of work, a sign that job opportunities are harder to come by for older workers.
