Tom and Dick Smothers know a thing or two about going against the system. From 1967 to 1969, the siblings’ CBS variety show, “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour,” pushed the boundaries of political and social satire, bringing the musical comedy duo to the forefront of the burgeoning counterculture movement. The Smothers Brothers have soldiered on to the present day, doing everything from dinner theater to TV appearances. They tour constantly, performing roughly 80 to 90 shows a year....
