— The U.S. Senate is soon expected to pass defense appropriations legislation that would send $21.5 million to military projects in the Capital Region, Sen. Charles Schumer announced Friday.

u $1.6 million for the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs to buy advanced infrared radar systems.

u $2.6 million for the C9 Corporation for Army research and development in Wilton.

u $3.4 million for Integrated Ship Motion Control Technology for Navy research in Malta.
