— WTEN morning news anchor Dori Marlin will jump ship to join WRGB as its lead female news anchor.

WRGB Vice President and General Manager Robert Furlong said this morning that Marlin will team up with current anchor Greg Floyd on the station's newscasts at 6, 6:30 and 11 p.m. and will also anchor the station's 10-minute 10 p.m. newscast on sister station WCWB.

“Dori has a natural ability to connect with viewers,” said WRGB News Director Lisa Jackson. “She’s genuine and sincere about communicating how the day’s news affects families here in the Capital Region.”

Marlin replaces Michelle Smith, who left the station in June. She will join WRGB by the end of November and begin appearing on the air in December.

“I am both honored and very excited by this new opportunity,” Marlin said. “The Capital Region has become my home, and the wonderful people here my family. I now look forward to furthering my commitment to the local community, in a new and more involved way."
