MILTON A Greenfield man arrested last week for allegedly prostituting a 14-year-old girl in Saratoga Springs has been arrested on new charges involving young girls in an incident that took place near the Saratoga County Airport.
Michael McCleary, 20, of Sand Hill Road, is being held in Saratoga County jail on bail set by a Saratoga Springs judge and a Ballston town justice in separate cases.
Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies said that McCleary and two other men took three girls, ages 9, 13, and 14, to a wooded area off Greenfield Avenue in Milton last week.
The girls were given alcohol and at least one was sexually assaulted, police said.
Andrew Rocco, 17, of Saratoga Springs, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and felony first-degree criminal sex act for alleged contact with the 9-year-old.
McCleary is charged with three counts of unlawfully dealing with a child and endangering the welfare of a child in that incident.
Kenyn Shattuck, 17, of Greenfield, is charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Rocco is being held on $40,000 bail bond and McCleary is being held on $20,000 bond after arraignment in Ballston Town Court.
Shattuck was released without bail and is scheduled to return to town court in June.
McCleary also faces charges in an ongoing Saratoga Springs investigation in which he is accused of raping and prostituting a 14-year-old girl.
City police said McCleary, Kyle Wedderspoon, 23, of Ballston Spa, and Brett McClellan, 20, who told police he is homeless, all had sex with the girl, who is too young to legally give consent.
McCleary is accused of receiving money from McClellan in return for his encounter with the girl in the city.
McClellan is being held on $50,000 bond in the county jail.
In a separate incident, McClellan was charged last week for allegedly selling a stolen revolver to an undercover police officer.
The gun, a Llama Comanche .44-magnum revolver, was one of several firearms stolen from a Perry Street garage on March 25, police said in court documents.
McClellan allegedly sold the gun to an undercover state trooper on Seward Street and was charged with criminal sale of a firearm and criminal sale of stolen property, both felonies, as well as a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon.
Police said their investigation into the men’s conduct with the young girl is continuing and further arrests may be made in the case.
