Kerry Kirkem and Milford Perkins talk about taking over all the business of selling narcotics in the city of Schenectady and how to protect their business by utilizing violence. Call recorded at 7:57 a.m. Feb. 16, 2008.

Perkins: Oh ummm not to bad on the soft and four of them umm.

Kirkem: .. that like that s--- don’t they?

Perkins: Yeah, yeah a lot

Kirkem: Yo Mel you wanna know something Mel?

Perkins: What?

Kirkem: Yo Mell swear to God Mel, I killed them on, yo Mel I made eight thousand dollars in coke and crack last night.

Perkins: Holy f---, God---

Kirkem: And Nig, I told I got, I got mad customers for that I, I been having that on lock for years me and Jessica for years.

Perkins: Right, right, right, right, right, right

Kirkem: You see what I’m saying that’s why Mookie blowing up I give him my, most of my customers.

Perkins: Oh alright.

Kirkem: You see what I’m saying?

Perkins: Yeah, yeah, yeah ...

Kirkem: That’s what I want yall to do, I be giving Misty my customers I be hooking every, I got enough customers for everybody believe that.

Perkins: Alright well if you wanna give em my cell phone number, I’m not gonna complain.

Kirkem: I’m a ... I want yall to, listen I want yall to recruit I’ll throw people your way but you gotta recruit.

Perkins: Oh yeah no I’m def, yeah that’s what I’ll do matter of fact ahh Lisa (Mel’s wife) did pretty good last night cause the ahhh chicks that she dealt ...

Kirkem: ..un hun...

Perkins: .. they fell in love with the s---.

Kirkem: Yeah I told her, I told her I said if you don’t love it I’ll give you your money back.

Perkins: Oh no, they loved it.

Kirkem: Un hun, I brought me a kilo on Tuesday.

Perkins: You remember the one that I got last night the one I got from you last night?

Kirkem: Yeah.

Perkins: I let her try that one as soon as she tried it oh no I want that I’m buying that right now.

Kirkem: Yeah, yeah.

Perkins: Okay not a problem.

Kirkem: Yo everybody loves that dude yo every, I didn’t get not one complaint not one it was so f------ big the half gram is so f------ big.

Perkins: Yeah I had nooooo prob, (unintelligible) Lisa didn’t have no problem she, these guys love it so that’s..

Kirkem: .. I know it’s good when Izzy love it.

Perkins: Oh yeah.

Kirkem: I know it’s good when Izzy say he love it.

Perkins: Oh yeah.

Kirkem: Izzy was sleeping all day yesterday.

Perkins: Oh is that what happened to him yesterday?

Kirkem: Yeah Izzy was knocked out he had, he partied on Thursday night Izzy was knocked out dude that s---, that, that s--- put Izzy right in bed dude.

Perkins: Well good that’s a good thing then.

Kirkem: Yeah that’s a good thing.

Perkins: Yeah cause we know it’s good

Kirkem: Ahh listen I’m gonna, I’m telling you now I’m a I’m a make it to where you blow the f--- up in this coke and crack I’m talking about blow up.

Perkins: Alright well ..

Kirkem: .. you ain’t even, you ain’t even gonna wanna do the “D” no more..

Perkins: I was gonna just say the same thing.

Kirkem: I’m serious you ain’t gonna wanna do it no more you ogonna make so much money in the coke and crack guarenteed you see Mookie happy as f---.

Perkins: Yeah I’d rather do that anyways because it will be less problems with the other s---.

Kirkem: Yeah, yeah

Perkins: And then them guys, them guys can do that and you know they’ll be no arguments no more.

Kirkem: un hun, un hun yup don’t worry I’ll set it up it’ll be set up I’m, I’m in a, that’s why um I gave it to yall yesterday I’m g lad you took it yesterday so you can get the (unintelligible)

Perkins: Yup and that’s ..

Kirkem: .. most of my customers I’m a start sending them over there you Misty and Mookie and Gary I got four of yall four different places that we should be able to coral the whole city.

Perkins: Yup, yup and not only that you can give them my personal cell phone number and if you need to you can give them my house number because ahh my phone I be running out of time on my phone a lot lately I don’t know why but, but yeah you can give them ..

Kirkem: .. you can go get a Verizon prepaid that’s what you need.

Perkins: Yeah that’s, that’s what I’m gonna I’m gonna go get one of those to but umm..

Kirkem: The minutes don’t go that fast.

Perkins: Yeah not only that you can also umm give then my house number like I said.

Kirkem: Un hun.

Perkins: Just in case they can’t get a hold of me on my cell phone they can get a hold of me at the house.

Kirkem: We might be going down, me and Oscar might going down to the city to get even more better “D” today.

Perkins: Oh alright that’s even, that’s good to then.

Kirkem: Word I need you to start, I need you to start looking for these mother f------ letting them know what time it is.

Perkins: Yo what I’m gonna start doing is now that I’m on the second floor (514 Hegeman Street) I gotta better view of across the street.

Kirkem: Yeah.

Perkins: So what I’m gonna start doing is start trying to recruit some of them little f------ too.

Kirkem: Hell yeah you do f--- them n------ man I’ll go over there and blaze, I’ll go over there and burn whole house down son.

Perkins: Cause I got, I got the second floor now I got a better view of across the street now.

Kirkem: Un hun.

Perkins: Yeah cause before I was looking at the top of his roof I ain’t looking at the top of his roof anymore I can see the bottom I can see the whole bottom half now I can see everything that’s going on in that house now.

Kirkem: Un hun.

Perkins: So what I, so what I been doing a llot lately is been looking in the windows trying to see the whole bottom half now I can see everything that’s going on in that house now.

Kirkem: Un hun.

Perkins: So what I, so what I been doing a lot lately is been looking in the windows trying to see everybody.

Kirkem: Yeah.

Perkins: There’s a couple of them that I’ve seen so far but I’m not sure about them yet, but I’m a catch them out there and ahh see what’s going on with the, with the couple of guys I keep seeing.

Kirkem: Un uhn.

Perkins: I’m a go out and questioned them ahh probably if I see them today I’m a go out and say something to them today.

Kirkem: Un hun.

Perkins: Today, today I won’t have no problem sitting in the window all day.

Kirkem: Un hun.

Perkins: Cause I really, we ain’t got much to do left down in the apartment so I can spend most of my time in the window watching everybody.

Kirkem: Yeah.

Perkins: Ecspecially that house cause therre’s a lot of traffic over there but ninety percent of them go over there in the back way that’s for the poker I gotta catch the guys that go in the front way of the building.

Kirkem: Un hun.

Perkins: They I know, I know some of them guys that go in the back are partying too I just gotta figure out which ones it is. There be a lot of traffic over there cause they do cards and s--- over there but it’s not always the old man sometimes it’s the young guy that’s over there doing the partying and s--- and those are the ones that I gotta ...

Kirkem: .. I’ll f--- up the old man and the young n----- I’ll f--- both of them n------ up over there.

Perkins: Oh na the old man I’m not worried about the old man cause he just does poker and s---.

Kirkem: I’m a start coming over there. I’m a start coming over there showing my face.

Perkins: Yeah cause ..

Kirkem: .. letting them f----- n------ know who, what time it is them n------ don’t want no problems with me I’ll get, I heard about them b---- a-- n------ man listen I don’t give a f--- about no n-----, nobody.

Perkins: Oh I feel you, I feel that ...

Kirkem: .. I don’t give a f--- about nobody when I come to the business I’ll murder you.

Perkins: Yup.

Kirkem: F------ crazy everybody all scared of these n------ man f--- them n------ I don’t give a f--- about no mafia I don’t give a f---. Let them be in the mafia. Let them be in that.

Perkins: Who told you, who told you they were in the mafia?

Kirkem: Some old dumb a-- s--- people were saying I’ll let, I don’t give a f--- what them n------ into.

Perkins: Slim I’m a tell you right now I’ve known the Civitellos my entire life and they have nothing to do with the mafia

Kirkem: I heard they supposed to be some bad a---- huh?

Perkins: Na, na, na they are, don’t get me wrong. They’ve got a name but the way I see it, it’s just a name so what Civitello that y ou, cause you a Civitello don’t mean you can’t get hit by a bullet.

Kirkem: They got what? They got his name from what?

Perkins: No, I said his name there name, there names are popular in Schenectady you know they go way back but just because you have a name don’t mean you can’t be stopped by a bullet you know?

Kirkem: Listen, (Kirkem talking to people in background until this point) Listen, I don’t care what they last name is I fear no man, no man you understand that, you understand that? So don’t ever tell me, don’t don’t ever tell me somebody’s last name I’m supposed to be scared of them

Perkins: Oh yeah, no, no, no..

Kirkem: Cause they last name?

Perkins: Oh yeah trust me I’m not scare of them either

Kirkem: I din’t grow up in Schenectady. Maybe yall did and yall know about them but guess what I’m not afraid of them.

Perkins: Right, right, right, right I wouldn’t want you do because..

Kirkem: We can go to war if they wanna do that if that’s what they wanna do.

Perkins: I hear you because let me tell you they wanna go, first one in line

Kirkem: If that’s what they wanna do Mel we can go to war Mel. Mel, believe me, they, they would not win

Perkins: Oh they wouldn’t even come close, wouldn’t even come close cause let me tell you...

Kirkem: And when, and, and, and Mel they wouldn’t no they wouldn’t that’s why I tell you guys you have to, te team that’s behind you is so strong we about to take over the entire Schenectady, we too strong, we too strong for anybody. Got downtown n------ coming next week, we got Tennessee n------ coming next week, got Alabama n------ coming next week. We deep, Virginia n------ we real deep that’s why I tell you I want you to, you might have to move because we might have to take that whole block.

Perkins: I got no problem. I ain’t got no problem with that.

Kirkem: The Civitellos they, they probably did they damage with these cats up here we city dudes man we don’t give a f---, we don’t care

Perkins: Yeah I know, oh I know, I know how it is, I know, trust me I know.

Kirkem: We do not care.

Perkins: Just like you said I don’t fear no one you know what I’m saying?

Kirkem: You not supposed to you know why cause you did s--- on earth you die

Perkins: That’s right

Kirkem: Everybody’s gonna die

Perkins: Eventually everybody’s gonna go sometime nobody, nobody lives forever and these guys, them guys just a name to me they ain’t.

Kirkem: And being that I don’t want to die guess what he’s gotta go before me believe that

Perkins: Yo damn right

Kirkem: (Unintelligible) You think I’m gonna let him kill me? No he gotta go first so guess what I’d rather go do the, I’d rather go do the twenty five to live and murder them

Perkins: Yup

Kirkem: I’d rather do that. That’s, that’s a New York State of mind, you ever heard of that, New York state of mind?

Perkins: Yeah

Kirkem: That’s the New York state of mind right there. That’s what we, we don’t give a f---

Perkins: Yes I’m a get you before you get me

Kirkem: We don’t, we don’t hey listen New York guys (unintelligible) they drove around with guns all the time and the police, listen, the police patrol but we don’t even care

Perkins: That’s right

Kirkem: You know what I mean we don’t care. It’s just a gun charge wh cares go do the year and come home

Perkins: Yeah exactly

Kirkem: Everybody know, everybody now know alright, he carrying. He packing, of course he packing right?

Perkins: Right, right, right

Kirkem: You know, you ain’t gott, yo u don’t gotta worry about no Civitello or nobody Mel. Nobody

Perkins: Right yeah I’m not

Kirkem: I’m a talk to (unintelligible) I’m gonna tell him to give me about, what you, you think it’s gonna take about a good week to get set with the other thing?

Perkins: Yeah, yeah, yeah most

Kirkem: I’m a tell him, I’m a tell him that you gonna get him you can still get the phone every night cause we let him through the weekend cause of the weekend stuff you ain’t gonna have no time for that phone you, you gonna be busy with this believe me.

Perkins: Yeah, yeah, yeah that’s, that’s fine with me. I’m content with that I’m good with that

Kirkem: Alright, so I’ll get up with you ahh call me when you think, when, remember, now get rid of that first type you got over there that (unintelligible) type

Perkins: Right, right, right, right, right

Kirkem: Get rid of that first I need that cause I’m gonna go to the city this morning

Perkins: Okay not a problem

Kirkem: Alright so try to bang that out right quick

Perkins: Alright

Kirkem: And ahh give me a call

Perkins: Alright not a problem

Kirkem: Alright reminder one week I want you up and running by one week, week from today

Perkins: Not a problem

Kirkem: You should be up and running real good

Perkins: Yeah, yeah, yeah most definately

Kirkem: Alright

Perkins: Alright, cool

Kirkem: Alright
