— A Latham woman was flown to Albany Medical Center after she was thrown from her car during a two-vehicle accident Wednesday evening on Route 149.

Ruth M. Pontore was trying to turn around in the driveway of the Hillbilly Fun Park about 6 p.m. when she pulled in front of a westbound vehicle driven by Gary Pritchard of Ramsey, N.J., Washington County sheriff's deputies said. Pontore's vehicle was hit on the driver's side, and Pontore, who was not wearing her seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, deputies said.

Pontore's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, deputies said, but two passing motorists performed CPR on her at the scene.

Deputies are investigating the crash, which closed Route 149 for about an hour.
