The Capital Region can look forward to another classic summer weekend weatherwise, with plenty of heat and humidity for at least the first half.

Today will be partly sunny and humid, with highs near 90. Skies will remain partly cloudy tonight, with lows in the mid-60s.

The weekend will start out partly sunny, hot and humid Saturday, with highs in the low 90s and overnight lows in the upper 60s.

Rain will return to the area Sunday, and it will be cooler, as well, with highs only reaching the low 80s and lows in the mid-60s.

The cooldown continues Monday, as well, with thunderstorms likely and highs again only near 80.
