— A 20-year-old Gloversville man, a passenger in a car operated by an alleged drunk driver, was killed Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash on Route 30.

James T. Borland of Fourth Avenue was a passenger in a car driven by Steven W. Bristol, 25, of Alexander Street, Gloversville. Fulton County Sheriff's Department investigators said Bristol was intoxicated when his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane near Dennie's Loop just after 3 p.m. and struck a southbound pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Joshua M. Lare of Guilderland.

Bristol, Lare and a passenger in Lare's truck, David J. Spiak, 50, of Vincenza Lane, Schenectady, were all taken to Nathan Littauer Hospital.

Bristol was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right.
