The region will enjoy an extended stretch of nice weather through the end of the week, the first such stretch in quite a while.

Today will be mostly sunny but cool, with highs in the low 70s.

Tonight will start out partly cloudy, but skies will clear later in the evening. It will be chilly again, with overnight lows in the upper 40s.

Thursday will again be mostly sunny and a bit warmer, with highs in the upper 70s.

Friday and Saturday will be partly sunny and warmer, with highs each day in the mid-80s.

The nice weather comes to an end Sunday, however, when the forecast calls for rain and highs in the low 80s.
