The 27th annual Lark Fest is expanding.

The free festival scheduled for Sept. 20 will expand onto Washington Avenue at Henry Johnson Boulevard, near Townsend Park. This will allow space for more vendors and a fourth music stage will be set up, said Mary Spinelli, director of operations for the Lark Street Business Improvement District.

An estimated 60,000 to 70,000 people are expected to attend the event, which includes music, vendors and food.

The musical acts booked by radio station WEQX-FM (102.7) include Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, Eric Hutchinson, Oppenheimer and Val Emmich. Other bands scheduled to play include Afficionado, The Sense Offenders, Maggie Mayday and Saving Atlantis.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 20.
