For years, industrial sites that once fueled the city’s economy have sat idle and deteriorating in and around residential areas. Now, the brownfields are presenting an opportunity for residents to re-invent their neighborhoods.
WE ARE ALL BE GOUGED, NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE OR WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR GAS, THEY ARE RIPPING US ALL OFF. THERE IS NO JUSTIFIABLE REASON FOR GAS TO BE AS HIGH AS IT IS WHEN OIL IS GOING FOR $55 A BARREL. THEY ARE JUST GREEDY BASTARDS WHO DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT THE REST OF US STRUGGLING TO GET BY. WITH THE ECONOMY THE WAY IT IS, THEY SHOULD ESPECIALLY BE LOWERING THE PRICE, BUT LIKE I SAID, THEY ARE JUST PLAIN GREEDY.
because the government lets them get away with it and most of your senators and congressmen have an interest in the oil companies,so now it's time to vote them out, until that happens we all get screwed, especially in NY
gas should be taxed as it is in Europe, would reduce traffic as well as reducing the national debt True for metropolitan areas with good mass transit - upstate you can't get by without a car
As long as gas is over $3.00 per gallon, we have a failure as a Governor and a failure as President. The cost of EVERYTHING revolves around the price of fuel. Your standard of living revolves around the price of fuel. The elected leaders need to start focusing on fixing whatever would make life easier for the common American and not just easier for the priviledged percentage. Get the price of fuel to $2.50 or below again and everything else will be cheaper as well. But we will have high-speed rail. That seems to be the priority--everything else must be fine in the U.S.
Amsterdam east end Stewarts 3.53 gallon...... Amsterdam west end Stewarts 3.61 a gallon...... whats up with that?... does it cost them that much more to travel an extra 4 miles to the next Stewarts.

I would like to see the gas price map overlaid with state taxes. I would *guess* that the higher the state tax, the more distributors/stations will charge. That is not supply and demand, that is greed feeding greed.

This is a wonderful, user-friendly way to tell what you'll pay at the pump, and where you should be scooting to for those pricey fill-ups.
