Leo and Alice Fiacco
Anniversary: Fiacco

Leo and Alice (Corbett) Fiacco recently celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary. They
were married July 20, 1952 at Sacred Heart of
Mary Church in Watervliet.
They have always loved children and have
been blessed with seven sons. James (Janet),
Ronald (Vickie), Lee (Diane-deceased), William,
Christopher, Kenneth (Lisa) and Michael.
They also have six granddaughters and five
grandsons and four great-granddaughters and
one great-grandson. Through the years they
have had the opportunity to travel extensively.


Arnold-Silvestri
Engagement: Arnold and Silvestri

Royal and Linda Arnold II of Ballston Lake
announce the engagement of their daughter,
Beth Nicole Arnold to David James Silvestri Jr.,
son of David and Lisa Silvestri Sr., of Newburgh.
The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Burnt
Hills-Ballston Lake High School, a 2007 graduate
of Schenectady County Community College
with an associate degree in science performing
arts drama and a 2009 graduate of SUNY New
Paltz, with a bachelor’s degree in performing
arts theater. She is the senior certification assistant
at Building Perfomance Institute.
Her fiance is a 2004 graduate of Newburgh
Free Academy, a 2008 graduate of Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute, with a bachelor’s degree in
mechanical engineering and bachelor’s degree
in materials science and engineering. He earned
his master’s degree in mechanical engineering
from Union Graduate College in 2011. He is employed
at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory.
Dave surprised Beth by proposing while on a
visit to the Herkimer Diamond Mines in late April.
A summer 2013 wedding is planned.


Richard and Shirley Elmore
Anniversary: Elmore

Richard and Shirley Elmore of Malta, NY
recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary
with their family and friends at a party at
Panza’a Restaurant. The couple were married
on April 6,1947 at St. Paul’s Dutch Reformed
Rectory in Callicoon Center, NY.
Richard and Shirley are the proud parents
of Sherry (Raymond) Demers and Kimberly
(Michael) Messier. They have five grandchildren:
Justin and Kyle Demers and Chad, Richard
and Zoe Halikias.
Richard is a veteran of WWII having served
aboard the USS Newman in the Pacific Theater.
Both Richard (35 years) and Shirley
(26 years) were employed at the Watervliet
Arsenal and both retired in 1987. Shirley ran
Trips for Fun for several years and they both
enjoyed making friends with a lot of people and
seeing much of the USA. They participate in
the weekly luncheon meetings with the Ballston
Area Seniors.
