Engagement: Lewandowski and Grout

Paul and Sharon Lewandowski of Charlton
announce the engagement of thier daughter, Alexandra
Lewandowski to Alexander Grout, son
of Roger Grout of Clifton Park and Leslie Costello
of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.
The future bride is a graduate of Burnt Hills-
Ballston Lake High School, SUNY Oneonta and
is currently attending Albany Medical College in
the physician assistant program, graduating in
May 2012.
Her fiance is a graduate of Shenendehowa
High School, SUNY Oneonta and is currently
attending William and Mary Law School, also
graduating in May 2012.
An October 2012 wedding is planned in Saratoga

Engagement: Shumway and Congdon

Ken and Darlene Shumway of Scotia and
James and Piret Congdon of Canton, MA., announce
the engagement of their children, Lindsey
A. Shumway and Wesley V. Congdon.
The future bride is a graduate of Burnt Hills-
Ballston Lake High School and St, Michael’s
College, Burlington, VT. She is a senior account
executive at Cone Communications in Boston,
Her fiance is a graduate of Canton High
School and the University of Vermont, Burlington,
VT. He earned his master’s degree from
MGH Institute of Health Professions. He is employed
at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston,
as a senior physical therapist.
An October 2012 wedding is planned.

Anniversary: Petricca

Norman and Charlene Petricca of Glenville,
recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
at The Terrace at The Water’s Edge
Lighthouse Restaurant. The cocktail party was
hosted by their children and their spouses.
The couple were married February 3, 1962 at
St. Joseph’s Church, Scotia and their reception
was held at the Woodlin Club.
They both graduated from Scotia-Glenville
High School. Norman retired from the Scotia-
Glenville School District in 2000. Charlene retired
from The Town of Glenville in 2004.
Their children are Gregg and Teresa Petricca,
Robin and Paul Farmer and Denise and
Steven Chotkowski. Their grandchildren are
Christopher and Anthony Chotkowski., Amy and
Eric Fogg and Lisa Schimpf.
The couple enjoy entertaining and vacationing
with family and friends. Both have been very
active members of Thomas Corners Fire Department
in Glenville for over 40 years.
