Anniversary: Morrow

James and Marcia (Petricca) Morrow of Scotia
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on
December 2, 2011 with a renewal of their vows
and a surprise dinner. The reception and dancing
was hosted by their children and grandchildren
at Riverstone Manor.
The couple were married in North Canaan,
Litchfield County, CT., on Dec. 2, 1961.
James is a graduate of Mont Pleasant High
School. He is a custodian for Scotia-Glenville
High School. He and Marcia enjoy spending
time with their children and grandchildren and
attending their events.
Marcia is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High
School. She was a bus driver for Scotia-Glenville
Central Schools. She retired in 2001 with 35
years of service. She also enjoys photography,
gardening and crafts.
Their children are Debbie Morrow Borden
(Daniel) of Burnt Hills and James Morrow of
Saratoga Springs. Their grandchildren are Jack
and Jenna Morrow of Saratoga Springs and
Danielle Borden of Burnt Hills.

Engagement: Welter and Goot

John and Gail Welter of Clifton Park are
pleased to announce the engagement of their
daughter, Katharine Elizabeth Welter of Ballston
Lake, to Michael Joseph Goot of Schenectady,
the son of Donald and Janet Goot of Niskayuna.
The future bride is a 1998 graduate of
Shenendehowa High School and a 2003 graduate
of SUNY-IT with a degree in nursing. She
works as a registered nurse.
The future groom is a 1994 graduate of
Niskayuna High School and 1998 graduate of
Marist College in Poughkeepsie with bachelor
degrees in journalism and history. He works as
a reporter for The Daily Gazette.
An Aug. 4, 2012 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Zarrillo and Pollard

Amanda Zarrillo and Jason Pollard have
announced their engagement. Amanda is the
daughter of Tony and Anna Zarrillo of Rotterdam
and granddaughter of Dolores Bucci and
Michelina Zarrillo. Jason is the son of Gordon
and Robin Pollard of Schenectady and the
grandson of Judith Redmond. Amanda is the
sister of Christopher Zarrillo. Jason is the brother
of Christie Pollard.
The future bride is a graduate of Siena
College. Her fiance is employed by the Schenectady
County Sheriff’s Office.
An August 2014 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Hahn and Lane

William and Marie R. Lane III of Rotterdam
announce the engagement of their son, William
J. to Meredith Hahn, daughter of Nancy Hahn of
Rotterdam and Paul Hahn of Cobleskill. William
is the grandson of the late William and Eudora
Lane Jr. of Schenectady and the late John and
Jennie Pisano of Schenectady.
William is a real estate agent with Coldwell
Banker and a licensed mortgage loan originator.
Meredith is a licensed mortgage loan
originator with Freedom One Funding.
William and Meredith currently reside in
Rotterdam and will be married in July 2012.

Engagement: Marcil and Stepnowski

Brenda Marcil and Robert Stepnowski Jr.
are happy to announce their engagement. The
couple dated in high school and rekindled their
relationship 22 years later in 2008.
The future bride is a director at Empire Blue
Cross. She is the daughter of Joe and Sandy
Lesniewski. The future groom is an automotive
technician at Mangino Buick GMC. He is the son
of Robert and Yolanda Stepnowski.
A September 2012 wedding is planned.

Wedding: Boyajy and Hoff

Karen Michelle Boyajy and Brian Robert Hoff
were married October 15 in Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts.
Karen is the daughter of Richard
and Kathleen Boyajy of Burnt Hills, and Brian is
the son of Robert and Ellen Hoff of Gravois Mills,
Missouri. Reverend Ellen Hoff officiated at the
wedding ceremony.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Bevacqua of
Las Vegas, and maid of honor was Jill Boyajy of
Grand Cayman Island, both sisters of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Shana Warner of Cincinnati
and Julia Liu of Stamford, Connecticut.Best
man was Adam Hoff of Wyoming, brother of the
groom. Groomsmen were Randal Hoff of Moberly,
Missouri, uncle of the groom, Max Warner of
Cicncinnati, and Ryan Biggers of Los Angeles.
Karen and Brian were joined by their family
and friends to celebrate their commitment to one
another. The reception was held in Dennisport,
Massachusetts and the couple honeymooned in

Anniversary: Stigberg

Carl and Bernadine (Loper) Stigberg recently
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with
family and friends at the Stockade Inn. The party
was hosted by their children.
The couple were married Oct. 7, 1961 in
Homestead, PA.
Bernadine graduated from Munhall High
School, PA. She is retired from the Schenectady
School District.
Her husband is a graduate of Mont Pleasant
High School. He is retired from Albany International.
They both enjoy golfing and bowling.
Their children are Ellen Johnston of Schenectady,
Ruth Anne (Christopher) Foster of
Rotterdam and Eric Stigberg (Melissa Kelly) of
Broadalbin. They have one granddaughter, Kylie
Stigberg of Broadalbin.
