Noel and Mary Drindak of Burnt Hills announce
the engagement of their daughter Jennifer
Drindak to Merico (Mike) Catallo, son of

The future bride is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo,
where she received her bachelor’s degree
and earned her master’s degree from Towson
University, MD. She is an elementary school
teacher in the Shenendehowa Central School
Her fiance is a graduate of Hudson Valley
Community College, where he received his associate’s
degree. He is a machine tool work inspector
at the Watervliet Arsenal.

George and Lucille (Cappiello) DeSimone of
Schenectady recently celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary at a private dinner party, given
by their daughters and their spouses. Elaine
(Cappiello) Monteparo (Joe), maid of honor at
their wedding and best man Nicholas DeSimone
(Ellen) attended the celebration. Lucille’s
mother, Mary Z. Cappiello, widow of Constante
F. Cappiello also attended.
The couple were married November 1, 1961
at St. Columba’s Church, Schenectady.
Lucille attended St. Columba’s and graduated
from the Academy of the Holy Names. She
is a retired LPN, currently working per diem at
Ellis Wound Care Center.
Her husband is a graduate of Draper High
School and was a Navy Reserve trainee in high
school. He retired as a supervisor from the NYS
Assembly Office of Automated Data.
Their children are Lisa (Carlos) DeSousa of
Schenectady, Yvonne (Paul) Calkins of Rotterdam
and Erik DeSimone of Florida. They are
also the grandparents of Vanessa DeSousa of
NYC, Anthony DeSousa of Schenectady and
Janelle Calkins and Nicole Calkins of Rotterdam.
The couple will be taking a trip to Atlantic City
and Cape May.
Tony and Joan Viscusi of Glenville, NY, recently
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
with a renewal of their vows along with 85

1962 at St. Anthony’s in Schenectady, NY. While
sweethearts from an early age, they have grown
to represent the meaning of true love, dedication,
and respect for all of those who know and
Tony and Joan have not only shown their children,
grandchildren, and many family members

community, embracing and guiding couples for
over 30 years, enhancing and enriching many,

Entertainment, which is a local group of dancers
and singers who travel the capital district inspiring
and bringing happiness and life enrichment
to the elderly community.

commitment in their children, grandchildren,
sisters, cousins, and community. All who know
