Barbara K. Bennett of Broadalbin, NY, formerly
of Guilderland, NY, is pleased to announce the
engagement of her son, Benjamin K. Bennett, to
Ms. Tatiana Mollmann, daughter of Arnold and
Irene Mollmann of Santa Monica, California.
Benjamin is a graduate of Guilderland High
School and the Florida Institute of Technology
and serves as an Army Offi cer currently assigned
to the Pentagon.
Ms. Mollman graduated from Santa Monica
High School, attended Cal State at Long Beach
and is internationally renowned as a champion
West Coast Swing dancer, judge and teacher.
A June 9, 2012 wedding is planned in Kailua-
John and Patricia Fitzpatrick of Rotterdam announce
the engagement of their daughter, Cara
Lillian Fitzpatrick to Matthew Gerard Somma,
son of Michael Somma and Nancy (Paul) Mesick,
all of Chatham.
The future bride is a graduate of Mohonasen
Schools and received her associates degree in
nursing from HVCC. Cara is employed by Ellis
Hospital in Schenectady as an emergency room
Her fi ance is a graduate of Chatham Schools
and also received his associates degree in nursing
from HVCC. Matthew was in the United
States Army 101st Airborne Division from 2002-
2009 and completed two tours in Iraq. He is currently
employed by Ellis Hospital in Schenectady
as an RN in the surgical unit.

The bride, formerly of Howland, Ohio, is the
daughter of Dr. Ruth and William Watson, Jr. She
is a graduate of Kent State University with a BSE
in Integrated Language Arts and is merchant account
coordinator for a dropship management
fi rm in Albany, NY.
The groom of Rotterdam, NY is the son of
Ronald and the late Sheila Pickett. He earned an
AAS in Electronics from ITT in Albany, NY. The
groom is an engineering tech for a national electronics
repair facility in Schenectady.
Trysha Ward and Brian Merritt were married
May 14, 2011. The wedding and reception were
held at the Mohawk River Country Club in Rexford.
Judge Rita Labelle offi ciated.
The bride is the daughter of Grant Ward
and Sharon Lair, both of Rotterdam. She is the
granddaughter of Wilma Youker of Rotterdam.
The groom is the son of Donald and Patricia
Merritt of Syracuse.
Matron of honor was Ann Marie Carney.
Bridesmaids were Kelly Gaffney; and cousins of
the bride Leah Ferrer and Lindsay Ferrer. Flowergirl
was Jennifer Wild, niece of the groom.
Best man was Brent Axe. Ushers were Michael
Maser, Peter Reap, and brother of the
bride, Kevin Ward. Ringbearer was Robert Wild,
nephew of the groom.
Trysha is a graduate of Schalmont High
School and Russell Sage College. She is currently
an investigator with NYS Commission on
Quality Care in Schenectady, NY.
Her husband is a graduate of Bishop Ludden
High School, Canisius College and earned his
MBA from The College of Saint Rose. Brian currently
holds the position of unit leader for Metropolitan
Life Insurance in Schenectady, NY.
The couple took a wedding trip to St. Lucia in
the Caribbean. They reside in Ballston Spa, NY.
