Engagement: Wettberg and Peterson

Dr. and Mrs. Lance G. Peterson of Ballston
Spa, New York, announce the engagement
of their son, Christopher Charles Peterson of
Poughquag, NY, to Rachel von Wettberg, daughter
of Norman and Merle von Wettberg of Hamilton,
New York. Christopher is the grandson of
Helen Wasko and the Late Zigmund J. Wasko of
Bayonne, NJ and the late Gordon and Edna Peterson
of Venice, FL. Rachel is the granddaughter
of Irving and Josephine Cassel of Chesterfi
eld, MO., and the late Prentice and Lydia von
Wettberg.
Christopher is a graduate of Burnt Hills–
Ballston Lake High School and Syracuse University’s
College of Environmental Science and
Forestry. He is Chief Construction Inspector for
Con Edison Management. Rachel von Wettberg
is a graduate of Hamilton Central School and
Syracuse University. She received her master’s
degree from Drexel University and is employed
at the Center for Curatorial Studies and Hessel
Museum of Art at Bard College.
A March 2012 destination wedding at the
Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans is being
planned.

Engagement: Zumbo and Fusella

Ms. Mary P. Zumbo of Niskayuna, New York
and Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Fusella, also of Niskayuna,
New York, are pleased to announce the
engagement of Marissa A. Zumbo to Nicholas J.
Fusella.
Both Marissa and Nicholas are 2009 graduates
of Siena College. Marissa is presently in
her second year at Edward Via Virginia College
of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Nicholas is in his second year at the New York
College of Osteopathic Medicine located in Old
Westbury, NY.
A Spring 2014 wedding is planned.


DONALD AND MARY DELUCCIA 70TH ANNIVERSARY
Anniversary: DeLuccia

Donald and Mary (Capritta) DeLuccia of Clifton
Park recently celebrated their 70th wedding
anniversary at a dinner party at their daughter’s
home in Clifton Park.
The couple were married September 7, 1941
in Schenectady.
Mary and Donald are both graduates of Mont
Pleasant High School. Mary is a housewife and
enjoys doing crossword puzzles. Donald retired
from Niagara Mohawk as a gas supervisor. He
enjoys gardening, reading and cooking.
Their children are Connie (Jim) McCormick
and Robert (Lauren) DeLuccia, all of Clifton Park
and the late Janet DeLuccia Hladik.
Their grandchildren are James (Danielle) Mc-
Cormick of Queensbury, NY, Justina (Mike) Periello
of Hopedale, MA., Craig DeLuccia of Boston,
MA., Katrina Hladik of Burlington, VT., Joe
Hladik of Davenport, FL and the late Andrea Hladik
Sinibaldi of Davenport, FL. They also have 9
great-grandchildren.
They both enjoy spending time together
watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Dancing
with the Stars.
