Engagement: Banks and Mangino

Barbara Mangino of Rotterdam announces
the engagement of her son, Eugene Mangino
Jr., to Radaisis Banks, daughter of Bienvenida
Fernandez of Jackson Heights and Thomas
Banks of Santiago, Dominican Republic. Eugene
is also the son of the late Eugene Mangino,
Sr., and grandson of the late Carmen and
Frances Sgarlata and the late Louis and Carmella
The future bride is a graduate of Pontifi cia
Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
She is a sales representative for L’Oreal in
Bloomingdale’s, NYC.
Her fi ance is a graduate of Albany Academy
and received his bachelor’s degree in fi nance
from Fairfi eld University, CT. He is a client services
account specialist with UBS in Stamford,
A February 2012 wedding is planned in the
Dominican Republic and a reception at Riverstone
Manor in March of 2012.

Engagement: Marquis and Striar

Peter and Lynnell Marquis of Galway, NY
announce the engagement of their daughter,
Susanna Alayna Marquis to Seth Striar, son of
Paul and AnnaLee Striar of Staten Island, NY.
Susanna graduated from Saratoga Central
Catholic School and New York University. She is
employed by Andrew Marc, New York City, as an

Engagement: Henry and Pantelleria

Ronald B. Henry and Marie J. Henry, both
of Schenectady announce the engagement of
their daughter Michelle Jane Henry to Anthony
Thomas Pantelleria, son of Roseann C. Venditti
of Staten Island and the late Thomas A. Pantelleria.
The future bride is a graduate of Schalmont
High School and Mildred Elley Business School.
She is employed by Capital Care, Rotterdam.
Her fi ance is a graduate of McKee High
School and SUNY at Delhi. He is employed by
D & B Glass.
An October 2012 wedding is planned.

Wedding: Parks and Batzinger

Heather Ann Parks and Joseph Anthony
Batzinger were married July 16, 2011 at the
Saratoga Elks Club in Saratoga. Judge Vern
Ketchum offi ciated. A reception followed. The
bride is the daughter of Gary and Brenda Parks
of Scotia. The groom is the son of Karl and
Elaine Batzinger of Glenville, NY.
Bridesmaids were Sheena Smith, cousin
of the bride, Jamie Ricciuti, and Jessica Boniewski.
Junior bridesmaid was Amber Batzinger,
niece of the groom. Flowergirls were Alana and
Ava Yahoudy.
Best man was Kris VanPatten. Ushers were
Greg Parks, brother of the bride and Luke Cartin,
cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Ryan
The bride is a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston
Lake High School and Schenectady County
Community College. She is a nanny to three
children in Ballston Spa.
Her husband is a graduate of Burnt Hills-
Ballston Lake High School. He is a mechanic at
All Seasons Equipment, Glenville.

Anniversary: Patierno

Arlene and Dominick R. Patierno of Rotterdam
recently celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary at a dinner reception attended
by family and friends at the Guilderland Elks
Club. The party was given by their children, Dr.
Steven Patierno and his wife, Kim, of Falls Church,
VA and Linda Phillips and her husband, Charles,
of Scotia, NY. Arlene and Dom were married
May, 20, 1951 at St. Anthony’s Church by Rev.
Anthony DeFranco.
They were also honored for their 60th at the
wedding rehearsal dinner of their granddaughter,
Jennifer Cremins and her husband, Bobby
in Charleston, SC.
They have 6 grandchildren. They are Dr. Jennifer
Cremins of Atlanta. GA, Christina Phillips of
Miramar, FL.,and Kaitlyn, Nicole, Brendon and
Justin Patierno of Falls Church, VA.
Arlene recently retired from the Nursing Department
at Ellis Hospital. Dom was employed
by General Electric in Schenectady for 38 years,
retiring in 1990. They are enjoying retirement,
spending time with family and friends and traveling
to Florida.
