Meghan M. Davey and Mark G. Mortensen
have announced their engagement. Meghan is
the daughter of John T. Davey, Jr. of Amsterdam,
NY and the late Joanne C. Davey. Mark is
the son of Pamela Mortensen Barr of Scotia and
the late Michael Mortensen.
The future bride is a graduate of Amsterdam
High School, Siena College and Sage Graduate
School. She is an occupational therapist at
Daughter’s of Sarah in Albany.
Her fi ance is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville
High School, Skidmore College and the University
at Albany. He is a sixth-grade math teacher
at Scotia-Glenville Middle School.
An August 2012 wedding is planned.
Ron and Sharon Ferro of Schenectady are
happy to announce the engagement of their
daughter Elizabeth, to Marc Ciccone, son of Anthony
and Mary Ciccone of Mariaville Lake.
The future bride is a graduate of Notre Dame-
Bishop Gibbons High School and the College of
Saint Rose, where she earned her bachelor and
master degrees in elementary education. She is
currently an elementary school teacher at Sacred
Heart School in Troy.
The future groom is a graduate of Schenectady
High School and Schenectady County Community
College, where he earned his degree in
fi re science. He is currently a lieutenant/paramedic
with the Schenectady Fire Department.
An October 6, 2012 wedding is planned.
Cindy and Kevin Cullen of Niskayuna, NY
proudly announce the engagement of their son,
Caleb Tyler Cullen, to Danielle Lynn Palermo,
daughter of Linda and Anthony Palermo of Mays
Danielle is a graduate of Oak Crest High
School, the University at Albany and the College
of Saint Rose, with a master’s degree in business
administration. She is regional director of
Spa & Salon Operations at Empire Education
Caleb is a graduate of Niskayuna High
School, Schenectady Welding Institute, and
Capital Region Technical School with a concentration
on HVAC-R. He is employed by the R.E.
Michel Company, Inc. of Albany.
Danielle and Caleb were engaged October
2010 while vacationing in St. Lucia.
A January 28, 2012 wedding ceremony is
planned in Saratoga Springs, NY.
The couple will reside in their recently purchased
home in Guilderland, NY, along with
their American Bulldogs, Bella and Oscar.
Thomas Sakrison Durant and Emily Carol
Sprague married on November 12, 2011 at Pat’s
Peak Ski Resort in New Hampshire. Hosted
by the bride’s parents, Theodore and Jennifer
Sprague the couple celebrated with family and
friends, including the groom’s parents, John and
Emily graduated from Quinnipiac University
with a doctorate in physical therapy and she now
practices at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut.
Tommy graduated from Quinnipiac University
with a master’s degree in physical therapy and
currently attends UCONN School of Medicine
where he is studying to become a doctor.
The couple continues with their love of rock
climbing and resides in Newington, Connecticut.
They will honeymoon in Hawaii in 2012.
Michael and Ann Pelham of Scotia recently
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with
a dinner party with their family at the Stockade
Inn, Schenectady. The dinner was hosted by

Ann is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High
School and worked at John Handcock until she
had her children.
Her husband also graduated from Scotia-
Glenville High School and St. Michael’s College,
VT, where he was a member of the R.O.T.C . He
was a 1st lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force from
1962-1965, stationed in Myrtle Beach. He retired
from the NYS Civil Service Department.
Their children are Kelly (Tim) Singsheim of
Niskayuna, Linda (Jeff) Trentini of Rexford, Lara
Pelham of Rexford and Michael (Christina) Pelham
of Rotterdam, NY.
They have fi ve grandchildren, Nicole, Alex
and Connor Singsheim, all of Niskayuna and
Madison and Sophia Trentini, both of Rexford.
