George and Lillian (Dewar) Neal of Ballston
Lake recently celebrated their 70th wedding
anniversary. The couple were married on May 3,
1941 at Mt. Pleasant Reformed Church.
Lillian graduated from Nott Terrace High
School and was a licensed practical nurse. She
enjoys crafts, taking care of her great-granddaughter,
and is community service chairman of
Schenectady County Home Bureau.
George graduated from Schenectady Vocational
High School, and worked as a machinist at
GE, ALCO and CONDEC. The couple owned a
wholesale egg and cheese store. George delivered
bulk mail for U.S. Post Offi ce. He is a “Mr.
Fix-It” and can fi x anything.
Their children are Karen (Richard) Golden of
Burnt Hills, Bruce (Donna) Neal of Schenectady,
and the late Dean (Pam) Neal. Their grandchildren
are Corey (Deb) Golden of Burnt Hills, Neal
(Sue )Golden of Charlton, Kelly (Chris) Tarr of
Amherst, MA., and Derek Neal of Schenectady;
and one great-granddaughter, Dana Golden of
Charles and Marilyn Brooks of Scotia, announce
the engagement of their daughter,
Chelsey L. Brooks to Andrew J. Burkhardt, son
of Frederick and Linda Burkhardt of Olivebridge,
Chelsey graduated from Scotia-Glenville
High School and Russell Sage College, with a
bachelor’s degree in psychology. She earned
a master’s degree in guidance and counseling
from Sage Graduate School. She is a school
counselor at Red Hook Central School.
Andrew graduated from Onteora High School
and SUNY New Paltz where he received a bachelor’s
degree and his master’s degree in elementary
education. He is a fi fth–grade teacher at
Red Hook Central School.
The couple are planning a summer 2012
Paul and Doreen Casper of Delanson, announce
the engagement of their daughter Rachel
Casper to Nicholas Pieniazek, son of James
and Marie Pieniazek, also of Delanson.
The future bride is a graduate of SUNY
Oneonta, with a bachelor’s degree in music industry
and earned an associates degree in business
administration from Schenectady County
Community College. Her fi ance recently retired
form the United States Army.
The couple became engaged in Venice, Italy
and plan a January 2012 wedding.
Charles and Marilyn Brooks of Scotia, announce
the engagement of their son, Charles H.
Brooks to Jennifer M. Stowell, daughter of Matthew
and Erin Sharpe of N. Attleboro, MA and
the late William Stowell.
Jennifer graduated from N. Attleboro High
School in 2004, attended Seton Hall and Central
Connecticut State University and in 2007,
earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations
and peace studies. She is a sales and
marketing coordinator at Unidine Corp.
Charles graduated from Scotia-Glenville High
School in 1998. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in
July of 1998, and is currently a Chief Petty Offi
cer in the U.S. Navy assigned to an east coast
Naval Special Warfare Unit based in Virginia
Beach. He is also enrolled in the American Military

Suzanne L. Fagel and Benjamin Woodman
Coonley were married June 29, 2011. Suzanne
is the daughter of William J. and Joan Fagel of
Schenectady, NY. Benjamin is the son of Philip
S. Coonley of Winchester, MA and Betsy Woodman
of Andover, NH.
Suzanne Fagel is a graduate of Mont Pleasant
High School. Since graduating from Marist
College, Suzanne has been working in New York
City as a television producer for such networks
as Comedy Central, TruTV, IFC and ESPN.com
to name a few.
Ben Coonley is a graduate of Brown University.
He is an Assistant Professor of Film and
Electronic Arts at Bard College.
Lori Alicia Carlson and Telly Richard Jones
were married April 2, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist
Church, Schenectady. Rev. Richard Carlino
offi ciated. A reception followed at Vista at Van
Patten Golf Course, Clifton Park.
The bride is the daughter of Phillip and Karen
Carlson of Niskayuna. The groom is the son of
William and Greta Jones of Quincy, IL.
Matron of honor was Lori Marry. Bridesmaids
were Megan Finn, Rachael Osinski, Mandie
Carlson, Jessica Fraioli and Jessica Lansing.
Flowergirl was Hailey Carlson.
Best man was Michael Kleen. Ushers were
Tige Jones, Brian Carlson, Sean Carlson, Ryan
Kelly and Andrew Ruebbelke. Junior groomsman
was Tyler Carlson. Ringbearer was Brody
Lori is a graduate of Siena College. She is a
branch manager at Pioneer Bank. Her husband
is a graduate of Western Illinois University. He is
a benefi ts consultant at Blue Shield of Northeastern
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Barbados
and St. Lucia. They reside in Saratoga.
Bill and Mary Jane (Shaughnessy) Beaulieu
of Schenectady recently celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary in Boston for a weekend
with their children and grandchildren.
The couple were married August 26, 1961 in
Bay Shore, Long Island, NY.
Mary Jane graduated from St. Joseph’s College,
Emmitsburg, MD. She was a school teacher
and homemaker. She enjoys tennis, watching
her grandchildren and travel.
William graduated from Merrimack College,
N. Andover, MA. He served in the Navy during
the Korean Confl ict. He retired from G.E. Silicones
with 35 years of service. He enjoys bridge,
crosswords, working out and travel.
Their children are Claire, husband John of Mt.
Pleasant, SC and Robert and wife Michelle of
Sand Lake, NY. They have four grandchildren,
Keith and Joe of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Eric and
B. Ambrose of Sand Lake, NY.
