Engagement: Wendt and Lichorowiec

James and Barbara Wendt of Rexford announce
the engagement of their daughter Carol
Wendt to Brian Lichorowiec, son of Duane and Rita Lichorowiec of Glenmont. Carol is the granddaughter of Stephen Dennis.
The future bride is a graduate of Siena College
and received her master’s degree from Union Graduate College. She is a teacher at Howard L. Goff Middle School in East Greenbush.
Her fiance is a graduate of Siena College, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He is employed by the State of New York at the Dormitory
Authority.
A. June 2012 wedding is being planned.


LOMBARDI - IMLER
Engagement: Lombardi and Imler

Amy Elizabeth Lombardi and Shane Patrick Imler have announced their engagement.
Amy is the daughter of Bruce and Pamela Lombardi of Schenectady. Shane is the son of Sue Hahne and Mike Tyler of Pittsfield, MA. Amy graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a bachelor
of science in nutrition. She is currently attending
the Sage Colleges to pursue a master of science in applied nutrition. She is a registered dietitian at the NYS Dept. of Health, Albany.
Shane graduated from Western New England College in Springfield, MA. with a bachelor of science
in business administration with a concentration
in marketing. He is a member specialist at SEFCU Federal Credit Union in Albany, NY.
The wedding is planned for May 5, 2012.


LAVOREL - RHODES
Engagement: Lavorel and Rhodes

Rita H. Lavorel of Clifton Park, and Christopher
M. Rhodes of Niskayuna have announced their engagement. Rita is the daughter of Mr. Oscar
Lavorel of Oakland Gardens, NY and Ms. Veronica
Lavorel of Saratoga Springs. Christopher is the son of Mrs. Marion Rhodes of Niskayuna, and the late John Rhodes.
The future bride is a graduate of Corinth High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary
education from SUNY Oneonta, and a master’s degree in literacy from the University at Albany. She is a reading teacher at Henry Johnson
Charter School in Albany.
Her fiance is a graduate of Christian Brothers
Academy and Northern Arizona University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in organizational
communication. He also received a master’s degree in public administration from Sage Graduate School and a master’s degree in early childhood education from the College of Saint Rose. He is employed with the New York State Assembly as Director of District Office, for Assemblyman James Tedisco.
An October 2011 wedding is planned.


LEON AND JANE PERRY 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Anniversary: Perry

Leon and Jane Perry of Rotterdam, formerly of Massena, NY recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their wedding vows on Valentine’s Day at Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida.
The couple later celebrated with a reception attended by family and friends at Mallozzi’s Ballroom
in Rotterdam. The party was given by their children, Le-Ann Perry and Rick (Faith) Perry, both of Rotterdam; Jana (Dennis) Pasquarella
of Guilderland and Chris (Marti) Perry of Erie, Colorado.
The couple were married August 5, 1961 at Sacred Heart Church in Masena, NY.
The former Jane Lashomb graduated from Massena Central High School. She retired in 2005 from Hometown Health Centers Dental Outreach Program.
Her husband is a graduate of Potsdam High School. He was employed by Beneficial Finance Corporation for 37 years, retiring in 1994.
They also have 6 grandchildren, Gabraelle Lafond, Nicholas and Christopher Pasquarella, Vail, Rorick and Macy Perry.


MR. & MRS. JACK TIMMINS 70TH ANNIVERSARY
Anniversary: Timmins

Mr. & Mrs. Jack Timmins, formerly of Schenectady,
are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary!
Edna & Jack were born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and wed August 2nd, 1941 in Halifax, Nova Scotia where Jack was serving in the Royal
Canadian Air Force. Jack is retired from the National Hockey League Central Scouting Bureau,
Edna from the Amherst school district and they currently live in Williamsville, New York.
Their eldest son Norm was a student/athlete (basketball & an All-American in baseball) at
Linton HS.
Having fond memories of their years in the area, the family would like to say hello to all former
friends and classmates.
The entire family in Canada, along with sons: Norm of San Diego & John Jr. of Los Angeles, daughters-in-law: Kim & Marisol, grandchildren: Brett & Kali w/ spouse Josh and great-grandchild
Gavin wish them love, always & forever....

Anniversary: Mancini

Arthur and Dale Mancini of Scotia, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. On June 4, 2011, a surprise dinner party, with family and friends was held at the Water’s Edge Restaurant
in Scotia, NY. The party was given by their son, Anthony Mancini and Wendy Hopkins, and son, John and Stacie Mancini.
The couple were married June 18, 1961, at St. John the Baptist Church in Schenectady.
The former Dale Sutton graduated from Draper
High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years and retired from Key Bank in Schenectady
in 2006, after 10 years as a teller. Dale enjoys attending her grandson’s sports events, reading, gardening, and volunteering at A.P.F. in Scotia.
Arthur attended Nott Terrace High School and he is a retired auto body repairman and business owner. He also enjoys attending his grandson’s sports, helping their son at his auto repair business
and visiting with friends.
Arthur and Dale are the parents of Anthony Mancini of Rotterdam, John (Stacie) Mancini of Scotia and the grandparents of John and Luke Mancini of Scotia, and Michael and Jacob Bushee,
also of Scotia.
