Engagement: Gimbrone and Quay

Christopher and Donnalee Gimbrone of Scotia announce the engagement of their daughter Shannon Nicole Gimbrone to Christopher Stephen Quay, son of Stephen and Barbara Quay of Colonie.
The future bride is a a graduate of Ithaca College with a BS in Gerontology and she went to graduate school at Nazareth College/SUNY Brockport, where she received her master’s degree in social work. She is a mental health clinician at Rehabilitation Support Services, Albany.
Her fiance is a graduate of HVCC, with an associate degree in engineering science and SUNY Cobleskill, with a bachelors degree of technology in golf course management. He is a senior engineering technician for NYS Dept. of Transportation, Albany.
They were engaged on the beach in Motego Bay, Jamaica on May 13, 2010. A May 2011 wedding is being planned.

Engagement: Hart and Karandy

Robert and Susan Karandy of Burnt Hills, announce the engagement of their son, Eric P. Karandy to Sarah J. Hart, daughter of Donna Hart and the late Robert J. Hart II, of Newbury, VT. Sarah is the granddaughter of Jean Dean and Patricia Dana.
The future bride is a graduate of St. Michael’s College, with bachelor degrees in music and psychology. She is an inside sales representative at, Burlington, VT.

Engagement: Davignon and Bosy

Robert Davignon of Rochester, NY announces the engagement of his daughter, Breanne Davignon to Joshua Bosy, son of Marc and Kim Bosy of Schenectady. Breanne is also the daughter of the late Peggy Webster.
The future bride is a graduate of Greece Athena High School and the University of Buffalo. She is employed as a nurse for Hospice Buffalo.
The groom is a graduate of CBA, Colonie and Buffalo State College. He is employed by the NYS Senate.
A December 2010 wedding is planned.

Engagement: Kirkham and Bova

Robert and Wendy Kirkham of Scotia announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexandra Rose Kirkham to Joseph Anthony Bova, son of Ronald and Karen Bova of Scotia.
The future bride, a 2009 graduate of Schenectady Christian School is now employed by Albany Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery Group and works part-time at the family owned summer cafe in Amsterdam.
The future groom graduated in 2009 from Columbia University and is now continuing his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida, receiving his doctor of chiropractic degree.
Joe and Allie plan to reside in Florida for the next few years as Joe continues his education. The couple is excited to see where the Lord directs their life together in the years to come.

Engagement: Ausfeld and Zimman

Jim and Bonnie Ausfeld of Scotia announce the engagement of their daughter Erin Ausfeld to Sam Zimman, son of Mary McCarty of Kaukauna, WI and Richard Zimman of Marblehead, MA. Erin is the sister of Jeffrey Ausfeld.
The future bride is a graduate of Union College, where she received her bachelor’s degree in history and Columbia University, where she received her master’s degree in international studies. She is employed in media management in NYC.
Her fiance is a graduate of the University of WisconsinMadison, with a bachelor’s degree in communication arts. He is a video editor in NYC.
The couple got engaged in Barcelona, Spain in February of 2010 and will marry in Barcelona, Spain September 10, 2011.

Wedding: Weinzimmer and Wagar

Julianne Weinzimmer and Scott Edward Wagar were married May 22, 2010 at the Central Park Rose Garden in Schenectady.
Julianne is the daughter of Bernie and Sophie Weinzimmer of Saratoga, CA. Scott is the son of Scott and Barbara Wagar of Schenectady.
The bride is a graduate of Duke University, NC. She is a faculty member in the sociology and anthropology department at Wright State University, OH.
Her husband is currently a graduate student at Miami University, OH., working toward a PhD in rhetoric and composition.
They took a wedding trip to Hawaii and reside in Fairborn, Ohio.

Wedding: Fitzgerald and Casey

Kristen Nicole Fitzgerald and Christopher Patrick Casey were married October 17, 2009 at St. Luke’s Church, Schenectady. Father Dominic Isopo officiated. A reception followed at the Edison Club, Rexford.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Barbara Fitzgerald of Clifton Park. The groom is the son of Jack and Cathe Casey of Niskayuna.
Maid of honor was Lisa Fitzgerald. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Casey, Kayla Fitzgerald, Nancy Van Allen, Kristine Sherman and Amanda Specce. Junior bridesmaids were Meghan Moore and Logan Chase. Flowergirls were Madison Turmon, Melissa Mannix and Caleigh Chase.
Best man was Brian Casey. Ushers were Michael Casey, Eric Ambuhl, Scott Lephart, Michael Savage, Charles Male, Kieran Lane, Michael D’Ambrosi and Peter Koch.
The bride is a graduate of the University at Albany and Russell Sage College. She is a clinician with Northeast Child and Parent Society.
Her husband is a graduate of Siena College. He is an investigator with the NYS Dept. of Labor.
The couple took a cross country wedding trip. They reside in Schenectady.

Wedding: Baldwin and Adair

Amanda C. Baldwin and Derek R. Adair were married July 24, 2010 in the Central Park Rose Garden. Minister Stan Craig officiated. A reception followed at the Hibernian Hall, Woodlawn.
Amanda is the daughter of Norman and Lisa Baldwin of Schenectady. Derek is the son of Adelbert and Vicki Adair of Glenville.
Maid of honor was Aleisha Baldwin. Bridesmaids were
Summer Adair, Karalyne Cagnina, Summer Miller and Leah DeFrancisco. Junior bridesmaids were Tabatha and Makaila Adair. Flowergirls were Natalia Adair and Allison Baldwin.
Best man was Adelbert Adair. Ushers were Andrew Baldwin, Edward Holton Sr., Matthew Trumble and Richard Gadoury. Ringbearers were Nikolas Restifo and Mariah Trumble.

Wedding: Laskoski and Griffith

Karl Raymond Griffith and Janine Elizabeth Laskoski were married September 19, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Church, Scotia. Rev. Robert Longobucco performed the ceremony with Rev. Peter Russo and Rev. Jan Hoffman concelebrating. A reception was held at Maple Ski Ridge, Rotterdam.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen Laskoski of Memphis, TN and Loretta Smith of Latham. The groom is the son of Karl and Debbie Griffith of Glenville and grandson of Daniel and Anne Dippo of Johnstown, NY and Leonard and Joyce Griffith of Perry, GA.
Maid of honor was Carolyn Laskoski. Bridesmaids were Meghan Baker, Meghan Tait, Alyse Yanuskiewicz and Emily Griffith.
Best man was Matthew Pinkerton. Ushers were Daniel Dippo, Edward Griffith and Craig Laskoski.
The bride is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School, Clarkson University and Kings College. She is a physician’s assistant for Dr. Bolarum in Frederick, MD.
Her husband is a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and Clarkson University. He is a project controls engineer at Betchel Corp in Frederick, MD.
The couple took a wedding
trip to Cape San Blas, Florida.

Engagement: Ashline and Moore

Suzanne Ashline and Lester Moore Jr. have announced their engagement. Suzanne is the daughter of Paul and Carol Sponable of Colonie. Lester is the son of Mary Moore and the late Lester Moore of Schenectady.
The future bride is a graduate of Cohoes High School, Hudson Valley Community College and the University of Phoenix.
Her fiance is a graduate of Linton High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1979-1982 and received an honorable discharge. The couple are both employed at Parsons Child & Family Center.
An August 2011 wedding is planned.

Anniversary: Bobear

Mary and David Bobear were honored with a dinner party on July 3, 2010, at the Gideon Putnam Hotel to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, given by their daughters and sons-in-law: Karen (Donald) LaMonica of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Katherine (Gregory) LaMonica of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The celebration included their seven precious grandchildren; Ryan, Eammon, Jason, Quinn, Kevin, Katie and Eric.
Mary and Dave were married on July 2,1960, in the Log Chapel at the University of Notre Dame, where Dave graduated with a BSME, after which he went on to have a 41 year career with the General Electric Company, retiring in 1995. Mary graduated from Syracuse University and from the State University at Albany.
In retirement Mary and Dave have enjoyed their grandchildren, traveling and attending Notre Dame football games, including two in Hawaii, and one in Ireland. Dave has also kept busy managing the pool facilities for the Town of Clifton Park.
