Anniversary: Scott

John and Gloria (Franco) Scott, formerly of Schenectady, celebrated their golden anniversary with a family dinner party on July 30th at Moxie’s Restaurant in Binghamton, NY. This special event was earlier highlighted with a family vacation to Beaches Resort, Turks and Caicos.
John and Gloria were married at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Schenectady on July 30, 1960. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Binghamton, where they raised their three children. John retired as a draftsman with General Electric in 1995, while Gloria continues to work in the Vestal Central School district administrative offices.
They are deeply appreciated and loved by their children and grandchildren, who revel in the time they get to spend with “Mama and Papa”: Ron and Jackie Coleman, Kimberly and Daniel of Binghamton; John and Pam Scott, Jonathon and Caroline of Vestal; and Jim and Kathy Scott, Samantha, Anna, and Jacob of Burnt Hills.
Our parents have continually set the example that we can only try and emulate within our own families. Congratulations, Mom and Dad - thanks for the memories we’ve shared, and the ones yet to come.
