FOMSBEE-BROWN
Engagement: Folmsbee and Brown

Mr. and Mrs. James Folmsbee
of Ballston Spa are pleased
to announce the engagement
of their daughter, Leah Karen
Folmsbee to Taylor Timothy
Brown, son of Dr. and Mrs. P.
Timothy Brown of Saratoga
Springs.
The bride-to-be, a BH-BL
graduate, received bachelor’s
degrees, with honors, in psychology
and policy studies
from Syracuse University,
where she also completed a minor
in public communications
from the Newhouse School.
She was a New York City
teaching fellow and completed
her master’s degree in teaching
at Pace University in the
City. Leah is a special education
teacher at Bedford Middle
School in Westport, CT.
The future groom is a graduate
of Saratoga Springs H.S. and
holds a B.S. degree with honors
in mathematics from Skidmore
College. He is employed as a
trading associate with a hedge
fund in Westport, CT.
Following the engagement
last August in Saratoga, where
the couple had fi rst met fi ve
years prior, Taylor assisted
Leah in training to fulfi ll her
dream of running the NYC
Marathon. Leah met her goal
on November 1st, with her fi -
ance and both sets of parents
proudly present and cheering
for her.
On August 1st, the engaged
couple will receive the Sacrament
of Matrimony at St.
Thomas Aquina Church in
Fairfi eld, CT., where they reside.
A celebration by the reef
at the Pavilions on Penfi eld
Beach will follow.


RUSSELL-WARD
Engagement: Russell and Ward

Michele Denise Russell and
Thomas James Ward have announced
their engagement. Michele
is the daughter of Betsy
Murray of New Baltimore, NY
and Gary Russell of Rotterdam.
Thomas is the son of Peter
and Frances Ward of Dundalk,
County Louth, Ireland.
The future bride is a graduate
of Mohonasen High School,
The University of Hartford,
CT and Christ Hospital School
of Nursing, NJ. She is a RN at
Kessler Rehabilitation Center
in West Orange, NJ.
Her fi ance is a graduate of
Parsippany High School and
Morris County School for Vocational
Technology, NJ. He
is a self-employed electrician,
general contractor and owner
of “Rafferty Restoration and
Maintenance”.
A September 2010 wedding
is planned.


KLAPP-SAVAGE
Engagement: Klapp and Savage

Melissa Lynn Klapp and
Clayton Eugene Savage have announced
their engagement. Melissa
is the daughter of George
Klapp of Voorheesville and Karen
Bielinski of Albany. Clayton
is the son of Barbara Savage of
Schenectady and Winston Savage
of Lakeland, FL.
The future bride is a mortgage
originator at Sunmark
FCU. Her fi ance is an HR specialist
for Price Chopper/Golub
Corp.
A June 2010 wedding is
planned.

James Tobin and Judy Tobin
of Albany, New York announce

Christopher Szmyr, son of
Richard and Sandra Szmyr of
Ballston Spa, New York.
The bride to be is a graduate
of Russell Sage College. Her fi -
ance is a graduate of Hudson
Valley Community College.
Both Heather and Chris are
employed with his family business,
007 Electronics Network
Inc., in Scotia, NY.
An August 2010 wedding
