Engagement: Stevenson and Bouchard

Rick and Marjorie Stevenson
of Niskayuna announce
the engagement of their daughter,
Ashley Stevenson to Bret
Bouchard, son of Paul (Jane)
Bouchard of Troy. Bret is also
the son of the late Denise
The future bride is a graduate
of Mohonasen High School
and received her bachelor’s degree
from Fordham University.
She is currently pursuing her
MBA at the University at Albany.
She is a branch manager
at a local bank.
Her fi ance is a graduate of
LaSalle Institute and received
his bachelor’s degree from
SUNY Oneonta. He is a self–
employed web designer.

Mr. and Mrs. Terry Phillips
of Scotia are pleased to

their daughter, Courtney Adair
Phillips to Jack Burk McEwan,
son of Dr. and Mrs. Craig McEwan
of Michigan City, IN.
Courtney is a graduate of
Scotia-Glenville High School,
Wingate University, and North
Carolina State University. She
is currently an instructor and
certifi ed athletic trainer at Otterbein
Jack is a graduate of Michigan
City Elston High School,
Ohio Wesleyan University, and
the Indiana University School
of Dentistry. He completed residency
programs in Dayton and
Detroit, and recently opened
his own practice, Buckeye Oral
& Maxillofacial Surgery, in Mt.
Vernon, OH.
A late July wedding is
planned, and the couple will
reside in Westerville, OH.

John and Patricia Fitzpatrick
of Schenectady announce the

Katie Ellen Fitzpatrick to Brandon
Stewart, son of William
and Teri Stamper of New Kent
County, VA., and Elmer Stewart
of Williamsburg, VA.
The future bride is a graduate
of Mohonasen High School
and HVCC, with a degree in
nursing. She is an operating
room nurse at Henrico Doctors
Hospital, Richmond, VA.
Her fi ance is a graduate of
ECPI of Virginia at New Kent,
where he received a degree in
business management. He is an
account executive at Norman
Shutters of Ashland, VA.

Anniversary: Lane

Peter and Louise (Simone)
Lane of Scotia, recently celebrated
their 70th wedding
anniversary with a fl owers
and champagne social hour,
followed by a family dinner at
Cornell’s Restaurant. The celebration
was hosted by their
son and his wife, Richard and
Elaine A. Lane.
The couple were married
March 30, 1940 at Our Lady of
Mount Carmel Roman Catholic
Church, Schenectady.
The couple were both educated
in The Schenectady Public
School System. Louise is
retired, but most recently was
employed by the Schenectady
County Library. Her husband
retired from General Electric
after 40 years of service.
They both were avid square
dancers for years, and love to
read and do jig saw puzzles. Peter
also loves to watch Yankee
baseball games.
They have one granddaughter,
Kathryn M. Jarosh (Andrew),
and one grandson,
Richard L. Lane and fi ancee,
Jacqueline L. Carona.

Anniversary: Jensen

Lanny and Marolynn K. Jensen
of Rotterdam, NY recently
celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary on April 10, 2010.
A surprise dinner party was
held at The Water’s Edge Lighthouse
Restaurant, Glenville.
The couple were married
April 17, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran
Church in Niskayuna.
The party was given by their
children, son Lanny John (Colleen)
Jensen and Leslie Mary
(Peter) August and four grandchildren,
Alexandria K. Leo,
Katelyn Leo, Mollie August and
Courtney Jensen, all of Rotterdam,
The former Marolynn Barhydt
graduated from Nott Terrace
High School and is a housewife,
(domestic goddess).
Lanny graduated from Scotia
High School and served in the
U.S. Air Force. He retired from
Moore Wallace/RR Donnelley
in Albany, NY after 44 years as
a bookbinder.
