Engagement: Rogers and Marks

James and Jacqueline Rogers
of West Sand Lake announce
the engagement of their daughter
Christin Collette Rogers, to
Thomas Joseph Marks, son of
Thomas and Maureen Marks of
The future bride is a graduate
of Averill Park High School
and received her doctorate of
pharmacy from Northeastern
University. She is currently
employed as a clinical pharmacist,
specializing in solid organ
transplant, at Beth Israel-Deconess
Medical Center in Boston.
Her fi ance is a graduate of
Mohonasen High School. He
received his undergraduate
degree from the University of
Virginia and his juris doctorate
from Harvard Law School.
He is currently employed as an
attorney at Decof and Decof in
Providence, RI.

Engagement: Stiles and Johnson

Ronald and Mary Ann Johnson
of Scotia, are pleased to
announce the engagement of
their son, David Andrew Johnson,
to Kristen M. Stiles. She
is the daughter of George and
Mary Beth Stiles of Syracuse.
David graduated from Scotia-
Glenville High School in
2002 and received his degree
in computer engineering from
Syracuse University in 2006.
He is a consultant with Ariba
Inc., in Alpharetta, GA.
Kristen graduated from Westhill
High School in 2002 and
is a 2006 graduate of Syracuse
University, where she earned
a degree in fi nance. She is a
fi nancial analyst with Newell
Rubbermaid in Atlanta.
The couple became engaged
on Christmas Eve. An August
14, 2010 wedding is planned at
Lake Lanier Island Resort near

Anniversary: Lapp

Edward and Irene Lapp recently
celebrated their 65th
wedding anniversary.
Irene and Ed met while serving
in the Navy during WW II.
Irene Goodrich originally from
East Bridgewater, MA. and Ed
from Leroy, NY were married
April 17, 1945 in Pensacola FL.
Together they built their fi rst
home in Leroy, NY and Ed
worked for the Lapp Lumber
and later Ed and Irene went to
work for Jell-O.
Ed, Irene and their four children,
Gerald, William, Steven
and Victoria moved to Ballston
Spa in 1963. While raising their
family, Irene worked for the
Village Florist and then Vita
Mart. Ed retired from General
Foods in 1987 and they enjoyed
retirement in Wildwood, FL
until 2008 when they moved to
Coburg Village in Halfmoon,
New York.
They have three grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren
