Dr. and Mrs. Peter Hendricks of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Hendricks to Timothy Messitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Messitt of Schenectady, NY and Wilmington, NC.
Ms. Hendricks, a graduate of Boston University, is a 4th year medical student at University of New England and will begin her residency in Internal Medicine in June.
Dr. Messitt, a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and SUNY Geneseo, earned a Ph.D. in molecular biology from Brown University and is currently working as a Coordinator of Clinical Research at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME.
A May wedding is planned in East Providence, RI and the couple plans to make their home in Rhode Island.
