Jack and Elaine Crespin of Scotia announce the engagement of their son, Michael Crespin, to Lauren Ethridge, daughter of Larry and Denise Ethridge of Powder Springs, Georgia.
The future bride is a graduate of Mceachern High School and the University of Georgia, where she received her bachelor’s degree. She is a graduate student in neuroscience at the University of Georgia.
Her fiance is a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, the University of Rochester, where he received his bachelor’s degree; the University of Georgia, where he received his master’s degree and Michigan State University, where he received his PhD. He is a political science professor at the University of Georgia.
Mike and Lauren met at a local dog park. Mike proposed to Lauren on top of Cascade Mountain in the Adirondacks.
A May 2011 wedding is planned.
Michael and Jacquelyn (Mangino) Lotano of Scotia recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a weekend getaway in Cape Cod and a surprise family dinner at Cafe Capriccio. The party was given by their children.
The couple were married June 12, 1960 at St. Anthony’s Church, Schenectady.
Mrs. Lotano attended Nott Terrace High School and Albany Business College. She retired from K-Mart. She is a member of Schenectady Mother’s of Twins Club.
Mr. Lotano is a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Albany College of Pharmacy. He is a retired pharmacist. He enjoys harness racing.
Their children are Leslie Lotano-Saba of Chesapeake, VA, Pam Cerrone of Scotia, NY, Nick Lotano of Stillwater, NY, Michael Lotano Jr. of Scotia, NY, Hope Corraro of Stillwater, NY and Perry Lotano of Schenectady, NY.
Their grandchildren are Tom and Marc Cerrone of Scotia; Nicholas, Daniel and Matthew Lotano of Stillwater; Zachary and Andrew Saba of Chesapeake, VA; Mia Corraro of Stillwater and Perry Lotano of Schenectady.
