Engagement: Golden and Gannon

Mr. and Mrs. David Golden of Rotterdam have announced the engagement of their daughter Michelle to Christopher Gannon, son of Karen Gannon of Schenectady and the late Alfred Gannon.
An October wedding is planned

Engagement: Myers and Lucht

Robert and Cheryl Myers of Princetown, NY announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Mae Myers to Ryan Matthew Lucht, son of John and Jacqueline Lucht of Owasso, OK.
The future bride is a 2007 graduate of Schalmont High School and will be graduating in the LeMoyne College class of 2011 with a bachelor’s of science degree. She is employed at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Her fiance is a 2007 graduate of Owasso High School in Owasso, OK and is presently on active duty as a military policeman in the US Army, stationed in Germany.
A January 15, 2011 wedding is planned.

Anniversary: Aniolek (Palczak) and Aniolek

Ted and Dixie (Palczak) Aniolek of Rotterdam recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise celebration at the Schenectady Veteran’s Club, given by their children and grandchildren.
The couple were married April 24, 1960 at St. John the Baptist Church, Amsterdam.
Dixie was employed by General Electric (1958) and later Union College, retiring in the late 1990’s. She enjoys reading, crafts and decorating year round, community volunteering, and has a special fondness of animals, especially beagles and beagle mix mutts.
Her husband served in the U.S. Army (1954-1956) in Japan. He retired as deputy chief (1992) from the City of Schenectady Fire Department. He enjoys Sudoko puzzles, a variety of sports, especially play-offs and finals.
Their children are son Dan (Roxanne) Aniolek of Rotterdam, daughter Doreen (Rocky) Shiarappa of Yardville, NJ. They have three wonderful grandchildren, Michael Aniolek of Rotterdam and Brian and Marissa Shiarappa, both of Yardville, NJ.
Together they enjoy gardening, Polka dances, harmonizing to “Sto-Lat” (A popular Polish Toast-Melody) cooking and baking (Ted’s speciality Polish Dishes, Dixie, a variety of desserts) theatre shows and musicals, fun at the area casinos.
Ted and Dixie have enjoyed many years of vacation traveling with their friends, including traveling across the United States, and vacationing with their children and grandchildren.
